  • Publication number: 20200197065
Abstract: A surgical device includes a surgical instrument and a surgical impactor. The surgical instrument includes a connector whereon a notch is formed. The surgical impactor is configured to be connected to the surgical instrument and includes a shaft, an engaging head, a lever and an operating component. The engaging head is disposed on the shaft for engaging with the connector. The lever is movably disposed on the shaft for engaging with the notch. The operating component is movably disposed on the shaft and includes a wedge-shaped portion movably located between the lever and the shaft. The wedge-shaped portion drives the lever to engage with the notch and eliminate gaps and tolerances between the lever and other structures, including the lever and the notch, during movement of the wedge-shaped portion to a locked position, so as to provide a shock-absorbable and releasable connection between the surgical instrument and the surgical impactor.

  • Patent number: 10470896
Abstract: A surgical inserter includes a shaft, a lever, a bolt, and a locking mechanism. The shaft includes a shaft body and an engaging head. An end of the lever is adjacent to an inner side of the engaging head. The bolt is mounted on the end of the lever and passes through the engaging head to connect a medical device. The locking mechanism is movably disposed on the other end of the shaft body for selectively locking or releasing angular movement of the lever relative to the shaft body. When the lever is bending relative to the shaft body, the end of the lever pries the bolt, so that the medical device is driven by the bolt to abut against an outer side of the engaging head tightly.

  • Patent number: 9974547
Abstract: Disclosed is a femoral resection guide for measuring and guiding resection of anterior portion and posterior portion of a femur and method thereof. The femoral resection guide comprises a front block, a rear block, a reference gauge means and a locking means. A main scale marked portion is provided corresponding to the front scale member and the rear scale member in order to obtain a size of a patient's femur. The front block and the rear block are respectively provided with a resection guide surface for guiding a cutting tool to cut the femur. Moreover, the positions of the front resection guide surface and the rear resection guide surface in relation to the distal section of the femur can be adjusted, so that the problem of over or insufficient resection can be avoided, and the purchase cost and the storage space of the femoral resection instruments can be significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 6896700
Abstract: A tri-leaflet heart valve includes an annular valve base with an inner surface forming an orifice through which blood flows from the upstream side to the downstream side. Three protruding hinges, each with concave sockets on opposite sides, are formed on the inner surface. Each hinge has a downstream face and an upstream face connected by a ridge. Three leaflets are respectively arranged between adjacent hinges. Each leaflet has round pivots on both sides that rest inside the concave sockets, allowing the leaflets to freely rotate in the annular valve base. When the leaflets are subject to a positive pressure from the blood flow, the leaflets are pushed open and allow a central flow. When the leaflets are subject to a negative pressure, the leaflets are closed to occlude the blood flow.
