  • Publication number: 20170037579
Abstract: A sheet of absorbent material having opposite sheet side edges spaced apart from one another to define an overall width of the absorbent sheet, the sheet of absorbent material including zones of weakness spaced along the sheet of absorbent material according to a machine direction, each zone of weakness extending substantially transversally to said machine direction, each zone of weakness defining two adjacent individual absorbent sheet portions, each zone of weakness being a tear line. The tear line comprises two edge regions and a central region, a first edge region beginning at one of the sheet side edges towards the central region, a second edge region beginning at the other sheet side edges towards the central region, the central region including alternating perforated segments and unperforated segments. The edge regions are unperforated so as to constitute attachment areas within the tear line between two adjacent individual absorbent sheet portions.

  • Patent number: 9302883
Abstract: A core has a cylindrical wall that can be torn axially and is made up of two superposed strips, these strips respectively being an outer strip in contact with the product and an inner strip, these strips being wound on one another and joined together by regions of attachment for example by bonding. At least one of the longitudinal edges of the inner strip is not attached or is weakly attached over a determined width in order, over at least part of its helical length, to form a free and accessible tab facing the outer strip.

  • Patent number: 8910901
Abstract: A roll of sheet product, in particular of tissue paper, with a central hole along its winding axis includes a cylindrical reinforcing element onto which the paper is wound. The reinforcing element includes at least one ring joined to the innermost turn of the roll, with a width less than the width of the roll and provided with a means of extracting the ring by pulling substantially along the axis of the roll.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 28, 2013
Date of Patent: December 16, 2014
    Assignee: SCA Tissue France
