  • Patent number: 11821460
Abstract: A roller arrangement includes at least three parallel-axis rollers with a respective nip formed between adjacent rollers. Each of the rollers having a journal at both axial ends and is pivot-mounted via the respective roller journals. At least two bearings being arranged axially adjacent to one another at least on both of a first roller journal of a first, second and third adjacent rollers. A compressive stress is generated between an inner bearing on the first roller journal of the first roller and an outer bearing on the first roller journal of the second roller and a tensile stress is generated between an outer bearing on the first roller journal of the first roller and an inner bearing on the first roller journal of the second roller or vice versa. Similarly, compressive and tensile stresses are generated between the bearings on respective journals of the second and third adjacent rollers.

  • Publication number: 20230338960
Abstract: A torque support for absorbing drive torques of at least one shaft drive, having two first force-conducting elements, each of which is rotatably fixed to the shaft drive at a distance from one another by a first end, and having a support element arranged at a distance from the shaft drive, to which support element the first force-conducting elements are each fixed rotatably and at a distance from one another by a second end opposite the first end, and spaced apart from one another, and having two second force-conducting elements which are each fixed at a first end to the support element in a rotatable manner and spaced apart from one another and are each fixed at a second end, opposite the first in each case, to a fixed element which is independent of the shaft drive in a rotatable manner and spaced apart from one another. A corresponding roller arrangement is further disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230269837
Abstract: Methods and systems for electrically heating and cooling rollers is described. A system may include one or more rollers comprising one or more electrical heating elements and one or more air channels. The one or more electrical heating elements may integrated to a power source and control circuit through an electrical contact on at least one end of the roller. The control circuit may additionally receive input from one or more temperature sensors.

  • Publication number: 20220072612
Abstract: A system and methods for manufacturing a dry electrode for an energy storage device are disclosed. The system includes a first dry electrode material delivery system configured to deliver a dry electrode material, a first calendering roll, a second calendering roll, and a controller. The second calendering roll is configured to form a first nip between the first calendering roll and the second calendering roll. The first nip is configured to receive the dry electrode material from the first dry electrode material delivery system, and form a dry electrode film from the dry electrode material. The controller is configured to control a rotational velocity of the second calendering roll to be greater than a rotational velocity of the first calendering roll.
