    Abstract: A method of making a curved electrochromic film includes: disposing a UV curable adhesive layer between a first electrochromic member and a second electrochromic member to form an electrochromic film semi-product in flat form; arching the electrochromic film semi-product between the first and second bending members of a forming apparatus and by moving the first and second bending members toward each other; and curing the UV curable adhesive layer using a UV light source while the electrochromic film semi-product is arched. Forming apparatuses for forming a flat electrochromic film semi-product into a curved electrochromic film are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a composite material is provided. First, graphene oxide and activated carbon are provided individually. Graphene oxide and activated carbon are added into an alcohol to form a mixture. Then, the mixture is heated by microwave in a single step, so that graphene oxide is chemically reduced to form graphene at the active sites of the surface of the activated carbon uniformly, thereby forming a composite material. The embodied composite material is suitable for being the electrodes of the capacitive deionization (CDI) and supercapacitor application.

The predetermined period is divided into a plurality of periods by the first time interval. Whether a change occurs on the IP address is determined withing each of the periods, and accordingly the computer system is waked up to check the network connection.

The main controller includes a first modulation module and a second modulation module. The operation of the switching circuit controlled by the second modulation module consumes less amount of electric energy than the operation of the switching circuit controlled by the first modulation module. When the charging device is in the heavy load condition, the first modulation module is enabled to control the operation of the switching circuit. When the charging device is in the light load condition or the no load condition, the second modulation module is enabled to control the operation of the switching circuit. Consequently, the power consumption of the charging device in the light load condition or the no load condition is reduced.

    Abstract: A forward osmosis process is provided, which includes separating a feed part and a draw solution part by a semi-permeable film. An ionic liquid is introduced into the draw solution part, and brine is introduced into the feed part. The brine has an osmotic pressure lower than that of the ionic liquid, so that pure water of the brine permeates through the semi-permeable film, enters the draw solution part, and mixes with the ionic liquid to form a draw solution. The draw solution was obtained out of the draw solution part to be left to stand at room temperature, so that the draw solution separated into a water layer and an ionic liquid layer.
