  • Patent number: 8602471
Abstract: The invention is a new container clip or clamp in a container conveying apparatus which is designed to have only a single clamp out of a group of clamps to release a container in the case of a failure of the single clamp thereby allowing the remainder of the system to continue. The invention includes a bearing block having holding elements and in the event of exceeding a lateral pivoting range the holding elements are at least partially detached from the bearing block to be released so as to pivot sideways.

  • Patent number: 8556317
Abstract: A gripper for retaining containers includes gripper arms extending from corresponding rotation axes. Each gripper arm ends in a free claw and has a pair of permanent magnets. Adjacent poles of adjacent magnets have opposite polarities. The gripper also has a carrier plate for the gripper arms. This carrier plate has two pairs of permanent magnets oriented parallel to the rotation axes.

  • Patent number: 8413799
Abstract: The invention relates to a container clamp (2) or container clip provided on conveying elements in container filling installations for receiving the neck of a container, particularly a bottle, each clamp (2) or clip comprising a bearing block (3). The aim of the invention is to protect such installations by special clamping designs so that improper strain would result in the failure of only a single clamp and any further damage to the installations could be avoided. Said aim is achieved in that the bearing block (3) comprises holding elements (8, 9) which detach at least partially from the bearing and holding device (10, 11) when a lateral pivoting range or a lateral force is exceeded, wherein the bearing block (3) or the container clamp (2) or container clip is released to fall on the ground.

  • Publication number: 20120086229
Abstract: By means of a gripper (1) for retaining containers such as PET bottles, wherein the gripper arms (2, 3) between the rotational axis (4, 5) and the free claw end (2a, 3a) and the carrier element for the gripper a have receptacles for permanent magnets for closing and/or centering, a solution should be created, by means of which the closing forces should be applied by means of magnets and the centering of the grippers at a star or a similar machine element or the protection against overloading should be reduced. This is achieved in that each gripper arm (2, 3) has a pair of permanent magnets (8, 9; 10, 11) and the carrying element (8a, 9a; 10a, 11a) has two associated pairs of permanent magnets oriented parallel to the rotational axis, wherein each permanent magnet (8-11) has a pole that is opposite that of the adjacent magnets in horizontal and/or vertical association.

  • Publication number: 20110308666
Abstract: By using a container clamp (2) or clip on conveying elements in container filling systems to receive the neck of a container, in particular a bottle, each clamp (2) or clip having a bearing block (3), the intention is to protect such systems by means of special clamping designs such that, in the event of wrong loadings, only the failure of a single clamp is to be lamented but otherwise there is no damage to the systems. This is achieved by means of the bearing block (3) having holding elements (8) which, in the event of exceeding a lateral pivoting range or a lateral action of force, are at least partially detached from the bearing and holding device (10, 11), the bearing block (3) or the container clamp (2) or clip being released so as to pivot sideways.
