    Abstract: A steel disc blank provides a first face with a concave race, a second face opposite to the first face, a central through bore extending between the first and second face, and an outer peripheral edge; the disc blank is heat-treated; then the bore is turned, thus obtaining at least one cylindrical turned portion of the bore, and then the concave race is turned, holding the disc blank locked on the lathe by means of jaws engaging on the machined cylindrical portion, using this turned cylindrical portion as a reference surface for turning of the concave race.
