  • Patent number: 11176396
Abstract: First and second confidence values are determined. The first confidence value corresponds to a likelihood that, from a position and an orientation of a mobile computing device, the mobile computing device is pointing to a visual code. The second confidence value corresponds to a likelihood that, from an image captured by the mobile computing device, the mobile computing device is pointing to the visual code. Whether the mobile computing device is pointing to the visual code is determined based on the first confidence value and the second confidence value.

  • Patent number: 11176238
Abstract: In some examples, a mobile device registers an account of a first service with an account control service, the account control service separate from the first service. In response to the mobile device being authorized with respect to the account control service, the mobile device searches for a target device that is within a communication range of the mobile device. The mobile device transmits, to the target device found in the search, a credential of the account of the first service being accessed by the target device over a network.

  • Publication number: 20210197462
Abstract: In one example, a topographic build plate for an additive manufacturing system. The build plate is to support a 3D object fabricated layer-by-layer, and is divided into plural blocks each having a build surface. In-between fabrication of layers of the object, a first one of the blocks is offset in a Z-direction from a second one of the blocks to position the build surfaces of the first and second blocks at different Z-direction locations to replace at least a portion of a support structure of the 3D object.

  • Patent number: 10872113
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for image recognition and retrieval. A system for image recognition and retrieval includes an imager to capture a plurality of image frames. The system also includes an image eliminator to discard any image frame of the plurality of image frames that does not meet a specified quality threshold. A remaining set of image frames is obtained. An image grouper groups the remaining set of image frames into groups of a specified number. A group of image frames is obtained. The system further includes a feature identifier to identify and describe features of the group of image frames. A requester sends a query to a content-based image retrieval server. The query contains descriptors for the features of the group of image frames.

  • Patent number: 10244358
Abstract: Mostly, motion signals are inaccurate, especially if the mobile device is not a proprietary device, and one has to reckon that the bearer wears the mobile device somewhere else than where it is supposed to be worn in order to coincide with the laboratory conditions. However, the information conveyed by the motion signals is sufficient in order to discriminate and detect between different typical wearing/carrying conditions, and accordingly position tracking based on such motion signals may be rendered far more efficiently by, first of all, using the motion signals gained from the one or more motion sensors so as to attribute them to one of a plurality of analysis parameter sets so as to obtain a selected analysis parameter set and, second, analyzing the motion signals using the selected analysis parameter set so as to obtain a signal indicating a locomotion of the bearer.

  • Patent number: 9704210
Abstract: In one example, a system including an isolation engine, a normalization engine, and a channel engine is described. In the example, the isolation engine generates mark data using a mark technique based on a first input color channel and a second input color channel, the normalization engine scales intensity values of a set of pixels of the mark data to a greater range, and the channel engine generates output channel data for a plurality of output color channels from normalized mark data based on the scaled intensity values.

  • Publication number: 20080241796
Abstract: An apparatus for digitalization of dental structures which is precise and efficient, generating unequivocal three-dimensional data. The apparatus of the invention comprises at least one articulated arm and at least one probe, said articulated arm and probe providing dental structure scanning directly by mouth contact, being a comfortable device for the patient. The method of the invention provides an advantageous way by which dental structure moulds can be produced, since it generates very accurate three-dimensional data of the dental.
