Abstract: A method of milking animals and cleaning at least a part of a milking device for milking animals, such as cows, is disclosed. The method comprising the steps of connecting at least one teat cup to a teat of an animal to be milked, milking the animal, cleaning at least a part of the milking device that has come into contact with the animal and/or with the milk from the animal, the very first cleaning step comprising cleaning and/or disinfecting said part of the milking device with steam, and a further cleaning step comprising treating with a fluid at least that part of the milking device that has been treated with steam.

Abstract: A device for milking a dairy animal, comprising a teat cup with a teat liner and a disinfection device for disinfecting at any rate at least a part of the teat liner by means of a disinfecting fluid. The disinfection device comprises a heating device for heating the disinfecting fluid, and the disinfection device is suitable for bringing the disinfecting fluid into contact with at any rate at least a part of the teat liner. A control unit is suitable for controlling the disinfection device. The heating device is suitable for heating the disinfecting fluid to such a temperature that the disinfecting fluid has a temperature of at least approximately 95° C. when it is in contact with the teat liner. The control unit is suitable for registering values of at least one control parameter of the disinfection device.

Abstract: A milking installation comprises a compressed air system with a compressed air line, a pneumatically controllable cylinder and a compressed air pump for supplying compressed air for the cylinder. The compressed air system comprises a dew point sensor for measuring the dew point of the compressed air and for emitting a dew point signal that is representative of the dew point. The milking installation may comprise or form part of a milking robot for automatically connecting teat cups to the teats of a dairy animal.

Abstract: A device for monitoring the cleaning of a milk line during a cleaning cycle is disclosed. The device is provided with a monitoring-unit comprising a computer and a memory for storing data at least temporarily, with a thermometer for measuring the temperature of a fluid that is present or has been present in the milk line and for supplying to the monitoring-unit a temperature signal that is indicative of the measured temperature, and with a comparing device for determining whether the measured temperature is higher than a predetermined threshold temperature, the comparing device being suitable for determining the first point of time when the measured temperature has come above the threshold temperature for the first time during a cleaning cycle, and for determining the last point of time when the measured temperature has come above the threshold temperature for the last time during the same cleaning cycle.

Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning the exterior of at least a part of a milking parlour. The milking parlour comprises a milking robot and a base on which an animal to be milked can stand. The cleaning device is provided with a source of cleaning foam. A method of cleaning the exterior of at least a part of a milking parlour is also disclosed. The method comprises the step of applying a cleaning foam on at least said part of the milking parlour.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for milking an animal such as a cow. The device is provided with a teat cup to be connected to a teat of the animal. The teat cup has a liner that divides the teat cup into a teat space and a pulsation space. A milking vacuum unit applies a milking vacuum in the teat space. The milking vacuum unit comprises a milking vacuum source and a milking vacuum shutting-off device for shutting off the teat cup from the milking vacuum. A pulsation vacuum unit applies a pulsation vacuum in the pulsation space. The pulsation vacuum unit comprises a pulse line portion and a pulsator. The device comprises a mounting block, the mounting block comprising the pulse line portion and the mounting block being provided with a first fastening portion for detachably fastening the milking vacuum shutting-off device and with a second fastening portion for detachably fastening the pulsator.
