  • Patent number: 7959794
Abstract: The invention concerns a facility and a process for hydrodesulphurizing gas oil or vacuum distillate comprising at least one hydrodesulphurization reaction section, at least one stripping section and at least one fractionation section in which the fractionation section comprises at least one fractionation column operated under moderate vacuum.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 9, 2002
Date of Patent: June 14, 2011
    Assignee: IFP
    Inventors: Renaud Galeazzi, Alain Dunet
  • Patent number: 7384540
Abstract: A process for hydrotreating a hydrocarbon feed comprises at least two steps with intermediate stripping of the effluent from the first step with pressurized hydrogen substantially free of impurities which are undesirable for the catalyst for the second step, in particular to eliminate part of the H2S formed, each step being carried out with a hydrogen recycle loop that is exclusive to that step.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 22, 2001
Date of Patent: June 10, 2008
    Assignee: Institut Francais du Petrole
    Inventor: Renaud Galeazzi
  • Publication number: 20060118466
Abstract: A process for hydrotreatment of a hydrocarbon feed comprises at least two reaction steps with intermediate fractionation of the effluent from the first step to eliminate unwanted impurities for the catalyst of the second step and to produce a desulphurized light liquid fraction. The intermediate fractionation comprises stripping the liquid effluent from the first step using low pressure hydrogen with rectification of the stripping vapours using a substantially desulphurized liquid reflux. The conditions for said fractionation and for the first hydrotreatment step can produce a substantially desulphurized light liquid fraction which is not supplied to the second step.
