To allow the engine to be started in case of a battery failure, a method for operating the vehicle comprises: starting the internal combustion engine, measuring a state of charge of the battery, comparing the measured state of charge with a predetermined threshold value, if the measured state of charge is lower than the predetermined threshold value: charging the electrical energy storage system with the charger, then starting the internal combustion engine with the starter, by powering the starter with the electrical energy storage system, when restarting the internal combustion engine is required.

    Abstract: A security system circuit for a vehicle includes an electronic main control unit, at least one electronically operated switch, which is arranged on an input line of an electric load of the vehicle. Each electronically operated switch is controlled by the main control unit and is configured to switch between a connected configuration. The electronically operated switch allows electricity to flow through the input line between a main electric power source of the vehicle and the electric load, and a cutoff configuration, where said electronically operated switch prevents electricity from circulating through the input line between the main power source and said electric load, a safety switch, configured to be activated by a user of the vehicle. The safety switch is configured to control the main control unit, so that each electronically operated switch switches to its cutoff configuration when the safety switch is activated.

    Abstract: A method of activating cruise control for a vehicle in motion is described. The vehicle speed is continuously acquired. A maximum allowable speed on the path currently travelled by the vehicle is determined. A value V1 for a limit speed is selected based on and below the determined maximum allowable speed. A time range of T units of time is selected based on the maximum allowable speed. The average speed is continuously calculated based on the continuously acquired speed measurements for the most recent T units of time. Upon determination that the speed of the vehicle exceeds the value V1 and that during the most recent T units of time the speed has deviated less than or equal to a predefined allowable deviation from the last calculated average speed, the cruise control is automatically activated to operate the vehicle at said last calculated average speed.
