Abstract: A method of making powdered metals or metal alloys of high purity wherein a monometallic or polymetallic cyanide complex is formed of a metal of Groups IIIA, IVA and IIIB of the Periodic Table of the Elements (especially or including, yttrium, the lanthanides elements of atomic numbers 58 - 71, inclusive, titanium, zirconium, hafnium, chromium, gallium, indium, thorium, cobalt and nickel). The cyanide complex is treated in crystalline form with dry hydrogen at temperatures generally between 700.degree. and 1300.degree. C, any hydride formed being decomposed by heating.

Abstract: Plant-protection compositions. They contain as active material at least one ixed chelate with two coordinates, such as ethylene diamine, triethanolamine, tartaric acid, picolic acid, dipicolic acid, dihydro-2,4-benzoic acid, salicylic acid, p-aminosalicylic acid, 5-sulphosalicylic acid, 8-hydroxyquinoline, sodium pyrocatechol-3,5-disulphonate, ethylene diamine diacetic acid (or its alkali salts), ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (or its alkali salts), nitrilotriacetic acid, sodium dihydroxynaphthalene disulphonate. These compositions protect plants against hypoferric chlorosis.

Abstract: Metal cyanide complexes of a single metal or mixed-metal complexes in which a metal is complexed with cyanide. The metals preferably include .[.magnesium, beryllium, aluminum,.]. chromium, titanium, zirconium, thorium, yttrium and cobalt and nickel in addition to the lanthanide metals. An aqueous solution is prepared and the complex is isolated by crystallization with a stoichiometry of the metals determined by their proportions in the solution.
