    Abstract: The invention is a process for polymerization of acetylene and of the derivatives thereof by a supported catalyst of the Ziegler type.This catalyst is in suspension in a liquid medium the viscosity of which is between about 10 and 400 centipoises at room temperature.The polyacetylene can be obtained in the form of film, gel, or powder that can be used for electrochemical or photovoltaic applications.
