Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for motor protection and control containing power conductors provided with poles with separable contacts (Ct) and a protection device (Mp) containing means (Cc) for detecting currents flowing through the power conductors and means for generating an initiating signal in order to control an electromagnet (Ea) and a mechanical device (Sm) with trip mechanism (Dr) which is able to actuate moving contacts (Cs) and a connecting strip (T2) and which can be actuated by a manual control button (Cm), characterised by the fact that the mechanical device (Sm) has means for automatically resetting the trip mechanism (Dr) after it has tripped and for moving it to the off position.

The clamping device bears on one hand on the sink (12) and on the other hand on the semi-conductor (15, 16) through a laminated connection bar (20) to present, length-wise and from a clamping range (23) on a fixed support (10), a flexibility enabling the bar (20) to be applied to bearing ranges of semi-conductor components having different heights. The device may be used for variable height power semi-conductors.
