  • Publication number: 20240005106
Abstract: Vehicle mounted Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems and associated methods are provided. An example vehicle mounted RFID system is configured to operate an RFID system in a high-power mode. The example vehicle mounted RFID system is further configured to determine that an operating state of a vehicle switched from an active charging state to an inactive state. The example vehicle mounted RFID system is further configured to, in response to determine that the operating state of the vehicle switched from the active charging state to the inactive state, initialize a timer for a period of time. The example vehicle mounted RFID system is further configured to, in response to an elapse of the period of time, switch the RFID system to a low-power mode.

  • Publication number: 20230334271
Abstract: An encoding method is illustrated. The method includes receiving data to be encoded onto a storage media, wherein the data corresponds to an item and is assigned to a data category. Further, the method includes parsing data into a plurality of data portions, based on one or more first characteristics associated with each of one or more characters in the data. The method further includes encoding, by the processor, the plurality of data portions using a plurality of encoding schemes, to generate a data packet, such that a first data portion of the plurality of data portions is encoded using a first encoding scheme of the plurality of encoding schemes and a second data portion of the plurality of data portions is encoded using a second encoding scheme of the plurality of encoding schemes, wherein the first encoding scheme is different from the second encoding scheme. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting the data packet, wherein the data packet is configured to be stored in the storage media.

  • Patent number: 11755852
Abstract: Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a method. The method includes receiving, by a first radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag in an RFID reader, a first interrogation command from another RFID reader. The method includes transmitting, by the first RFID tag in the RFID reader, a first response signal to the other RFID reader in response to the reception of the first interrogation command. The method further includes transmitting, by a processor in the RFID reader, a second interrogation command to one or more second RFID tags, where the transmission of the second interrogation command is concurrent to the reception of the first interrogation command or the transmission of the first response signal.

  • Publication number: 20230224516
Abstract: An encoder for use with video data, first supplemental data, second supplemental data, and a display device. The encoder includes: a memory; and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the encoder to: generate modified video data based on an incorporation of the first supplemental data into the video data such that the supplemental video will be displayed at a predetermined location when the modified video is displayed on the display device; generate metadata associated with the predetermined location; generate an encoded transport stream including the modified video data, the metadata and the second supplemental data; and transmit the encoded transport stream to the display device so as to enable the display device to decode the encoded transport stream and display the modified video and the second supplemental video such that the second supplemental video is not displayed at the predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 11625547
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods of manufacturing are described that provide improved tag identification. An example system includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) scanner that receives a stream of RFID tags each associated with a respective article. The system further includes a first sensor attached to the RFID scanner that generates first positional data and a second sensor positioned separate from the first sensor that generates second positional data. The system also includes a computing device communicably coupled with the RFID scanner, the first sensor, and the second sensor. The computing device receives the stream of RFID tags, receives first positional data from the first sensor, receives second positional data from the second sensor, and determines an intended RFID tag from amongst the stream of RFID tags based upon the first positional data and the second positional data.
