  • Patent number: 4930294
Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous cleaning of solvent containing waste air operates in two phases with two identical receiving towers each with at least one microwave generator and one common vacuum evaporator. In a cleaning phase, the waste air is conducted through a first tower, where the solvents are extracted from the waste air in a closed evaporator container by a receiving medium adsorbing substances of low polarity, and pure air is exhausted to the atmosphere. As soon as the receiving medium is saturated, the first tower is switched to a regenerating phase, in which the waste air is simultaneously conducted through the second receiving tower during its cleaning phase while a vacuum evaporation device and an associated microwave generator is switched on in the first receiving tower. At a low temperature, the solvents evaporate from the evaporator container isolated in the first tower and condense to collect as reusable solvent in a collecting container.

  • Patent number: 4561940
Abstract: The overcharge prevention device is installed in a solvent processing plant in a vacuum evaporator of a heat exchanger. It assures that the level of the cleaning solution in the vacuum evaporator cannot randomly rise when a feed valve malfunctions. A float body of an overcharge valve extending into the vacuum evaporator exerts a pressure through a double-arm lever and a valve plunger upon a ball valve and a valve seat in normal operation and holds the overcharge valve in a closed position. As the level of the cleaning solution undesirably rises, the buoyant action of the cleaning solution acts on the float body, causing the pressure on the valve seat to diminish, and the overcharge valve opens. This permits air to enter into the vacuum evaporator through the overcharge valve. The generated vacuum collapses and the suction force employed to ingest the cleaning solution disappears.

  • Patent number: 4212015
Abstract: A portable radio link system mast, particularly for use in the field, employing mast tube elements which are lifted, one after the other, by means of a lifting device installed in the head of the stand and, after a certain height is reached, are connected with always the next mast tube element. The lifting device consists of three frictionally self-locking pawls arranged on top of each other, a carrying pawl, a lowering pawl and a lifting pawl, which permit a slipless lifting, lowering and locking of the mast tube elements in connection with springs. A cardigan cam lever with a feeler stud draws attention to a wrong connection of the mast tube elements, and a mast tube element in the range of the lifting device can only be pushed out of the head of the stand after a correct contact is established with the following mast tube element.
