  • Patent number: 6047924
Abstract: Once the rotor of a rotary-wing aircraft is held stationary in an indicated position, the method comprises steps consisting in placing the collective pitch control stick in a first predefined position corresponding to a first inclination of the blades about their longitudinal axes, in placing the cyclic pitch control stick in a second predefined position corresponding to a nose-up position of the rotary-wing aircraft, in modifying the length of the control system to cause the inclination of the blades about their longitudinal axes to go to a second value that is different from said first inclination value, in holding a rotary swashplate stationary by placing at least three locking connection rods between the rotary swashplate and a member integral in terms of rotation with a rotor mast, and in folding the blades by rotating each of them about a corresponding coupling pin for coupling it to a coupling member for coupling the blade to a rotor hub.

  • Patent number: 5931681
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device which includes a cylindrical support provided with coaxial conducting rings, and a brush support carrying brushes respectively in sliding contact with the rings. An extension of this support constitutes another support for a set of longitudinal conducting tracks linked respectively to the brushes. The brushes in sliding contact with the tracks are carried by a brush support which is able to move translationally on the support. There may, therefore, be relative translational and rotational movements between a cable, the conductors of which are linked to the rings, and a cable, the conductors of which are linked to the brushes, while still providing electrical continuity between them. The device of the present invention is useful in supplying current to the blades of the tail rotor of a helicopter from a structure able to move translationally.

  • Patent number: 5209431
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for increasing the stability, especially the lateral stability, of a helicopter placed on board (1) having a tricycle landing gear (2, 6), when it is set down on a moving platform. The device comprises two lateral stabilizers (13), each equipped with a wheel (16) for support on the platform and connected to the structure of the helicopter by an essentially rigid support, comprising a leg (17), about the axis of which the wheel (16) can turn, the leg (17) itself being connected to the structure by a rigid and transverse component which may be a pivot axle if the leg can be raised, or a slidingly fitted arm if the stabilizer (13) is additional. The stabilizers may also be integrated into a towing trolley.Application to the equipment of helicopters placed on board, having a tricycle landing gear.

  • Patent number: 5098035
Abstract: A device for maneuvering a machine supported by a principal landing gear and at least one swingable wheel, such as a helicopter, between two given zones on a platform such as an alighting area and a parking area on the deck of a ship. The device includes at least one guide rail (5, 6), a hauling mechanism (12, 13, 14, 19, 20) intended to pull the machine (H), and a bar (19) for orienting the path of the machine (H). One end of the bar slides along the guide rail (5). The device also has at least one holding trolley (28) associated with means of connection (30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 39) to the machine (H). These means of connection make it possible to center and align the machine (H) on the guide rail (5, 6) as it is being hauled.
