  • Publication number: 20240140329
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a digital projection unit for projecting graphical or typographical information onto a projection surface. The digital projection unit is connected to a monitoring circuit to project the graphical or typographical information, evaluate an image recording of the graphical or typographical information, and change the projection of the graphical or typographical information on the projection based on the evaluated image recording. The digital projection unit is configured to readjust the position and/or size and/or distortion of the graphical or typographical information if the evaluation of the image recording results in the projection of the graphical or typographical information on the projection surface changing with respect to at least one of the representation criteria—position and/or size and/or distortion—compared with target values.

  • Publication number: 20230226966
Abstract: A lighting device for a motor vehicle includes a lighting component having one or more light sources and one or more transparent facet bodies, each of which bodies has a surface consisting of a plurality of planar first facets. Light originating from the one or more light sources is radiated into the one or more transparent facet bodies as first luminous radiation. The first luminous radiation is at least partially refracted on first facets of the one or more transparent facet bodies and subsequently exits the lighting device as second luminous radiation in order to produce light distribution. One or more translucent optical components are located in the lighting device between the lighting component and the one or more transparent facet bodies.

  • Publication number: 20220307671
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes a surroundings lighting device with a plurality of projection modules for generating a light distribution on the ground in the surroundings of the motor vehicle. The plurality of projection modules includes a first projection module and a second projection module which are designed and arranged such that when operated the first projection module generates a first light distribution on the ground in the surroundings of the motor vehicle and the second projection module generates a second light distribution which overlaps with the first light distribution on the ground in the surroundings of the motor vehicle. The second light distribution covers a smaller surface area on the ground than the first light distribution and has a higher average illuminance on the ground than the first light distribution.

  • Patent number: 10920951
Abstract: The invention relates to a headlight for a motor vehicle having a plurality of main light modules configured to produce a main light distribution for low beam and high beam. The headlight also has a laser light module comprised of one or more laser diodes configured to produce a laser light distribution in addition to the main light distribution. The headlight is configured such that, during operation, the laser light distribution is movable in a manner decoupled from the main light distribution and relative to the main light distribution.
