    Abstract: Eyewear comprises a lens. The lens comprises a viewing portion and a connecting portion. The lens comprises a peripheral surface. The viewing portion of the lens is defined inside of the peripheral surface of the lens and the connecting portion of the lens is defined outside of the peripheral surface of the lens. The connecting portion of the lens comprises a mounting bore. An eyewear frame member covers at least a portion of the connecting portion of the lens and an eyewear frame connecting member extends through a portion of the eyewear frame member and into the mounting bore of the connecting portion of the lens such that the eyewear frame member is secured to the connecting portion of the lens by the eyewear frame connecting member.
