  • Publication number: 20220365306
Abstract: A terminal system assembly includes a base plate, a spool, an adapter module, and a spool locking washer. The base includes a spindle. The spool may be rotatingly coupled with the spindle of the base plate and to receive an input fiber cable. The adapter module may couple a fiber of the input fiber cable with a fiber of an output fiber cable. The spool locking washer may couple the adapter module with the spindle and may prevent rotation of the spool and the adapter module.

  • Patent number: 11402596
Abstract: A terminal system assembly includes a base plate, a spool, an adapter module for securing a connection between a fiber of an input fiber cable and a fiber of an output fiber cable, and a cable management plate coupled with the spool. The spool is rotatably mounted to the base plate and is configured to receive the input fiber cable. The adapter module is configured to be coupled with the cable management plate. The spool containing the fiber input cable is allowed to freely rotate until the adapter module is coupled with the cable management plate. The adapter module includes an anti-rotation portion that is configured to cooperate with a portion of the base plate to prevent rotation of the spool and the adapter module when the adapter module is coupled with the spool.

  • Publication number: 20150093088
Abstract: A fiber optic terminal assembly comprises a mounting plate configured to be mounted to a surface, a pivot bracket comprising a handle, and a spool rotatably mounted to the pivot bracket and configured to store a multi-fiber optic cable. The spool comprises an adapter for securing a connection between a fiber of the multi-fiber optic cable and a fiber of an output fiber cable. The spool and the pivot bracket are configured to be selectively coupled to the mounting plate. A method of using the fiber optic terminal assembly comprises paying out a multi-fiber optic cable stored on the spool by rotating the spool relative to the pivot bracket. The method also comprises selectively coupling the spool and the pivot bracket to a mounting plate after paying out the multi-fiber optic cable. Selectively coupling the spool and the pivot bracket substantially prevents rotation of the spool.
