  • Publication number: 20090236483
Abstract: A method of hanging an article on a wall comprises attaching at least one hanger to an end face of the article, the hanger having a first end adapted to attach to the end face and a second end adapted to contact an inner surface of the wall. The hanger is curved in shape so that a portion of the second end is generally parallel to a plane of the wall after the article is attached to the wall. The second end of the hanger is passed through the wall for a sufficient distance and then the article is rotated so that the second end contacts the inner surface of the wall and the end face of the article rests against an outer surface of the wall. One or more hangers can be combined with the article for hanging purposes.

  • Patent number: 7025320
Abstract: A wall article hanger and method of hanging a wall article that uses a d-ring assembly comprises providing a prong-containing hanger device that attaches to the d-ring assembly and remains in a relatively vertical position after being attached. With the hanger device in place, the prongs are angled towards the wall surface that the wall article is to be hung on. The wall article can then be pushed toward the wall, such that the prongs penetrate the wall and support the wall article.

  • Patent number: 6840489
Abstract: A wall article hanger for a metal frame and a method of using comprises an elongated spring plate that includes one or more angled prongs for support purposes and oppositely facing frame contact areas. The spring plate is flattened and inserted into a rear slot of the frame, such that the prong(s) extend outwardly. The frame can then be pressed against a wall surface so that the prong(s) penetrate the wall surface and support the wall article.

  • Patent number: 6783106
Abstract: A wall article hanging device includes a hanger body and a prong element. The hanger body is adapted to attach to the rear of a wall article, and contains opposing slots to receive the prong element. The prong element facilitates attaching the wall article to a wall surface. The prong element is separable from the body element to ease handling of the article prior to article hanging. The hanger body can be used without the prong element for hanging a wall article using items such as a nail and wire.
