    Abstract: The present invention provides a network address translation method and apparatus thereof. The method and apparatus only requires one IPv4 public address when IPv6 devices in an IPv4 private network communicate with IPv6 devices in a remote network by taking an one-to-one correspondence mapping relationship between IPv4 private addresses and IPv6 addresses. The present invention is simple and greatly reduces occupation of the IPv4 public addresses.
