  • Patent number: 11975569
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion having a first tread edge, and a first buttress portion extending inwardly in a tire radial direction from the first tread edge. The first buttress portion is provided with a plurality of protectors protruding outwardly in a tire axial direction. The plurality of protectors includes a set of protectors including a first protector and a second protector arranged adjacent to the first protector via a groove extending in the tire radial direction. The groove is provided with a tie-bar connecting the first protector and the second protector. The tie-bar is partially formed in a tire radial region of the groove, and the tie-bar has a protruding height that is smaller than a protruding height of the first protector and a protruding height of the second protector.

  • Publication number: 20220105754
Abstract: A tire is provided that includes a tread. In the tire, at least two circumferential grooves are carved in the tread, and at least three land parts are formed arranged side by side in an axial direction. Among the at least three land parts, a land part located on an outer side in the axial direction is a shoulder land part. The shoulder land part includes shoulder blocks arranged side by side in a circumferential direction. The shoulder land part is divided into a grounding zone from an equatorial plane side to a grounding end and a non-grounding zone from the grounding end to an end of the tread. First dimples having a cylindrical shape are carved in the plurality of shoulder blocks in the grounding zone.

  • Patent number: 10603959
Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion provided with central blocks on both sides of a tire equator. Each of the central blocks includes a ground contact surface with an axially outer block edge and an outer block sidewall extending radially inwardly from the outer block edge. Each outer block edge includes a first inclined edge and a second inclined edge in an opposite inclination direction to the first inclined edge. The first inclined edge has an average angle of from 75 to 85 degrees and the second inclined edge has an average angle of from 30 to 50 degrees, with respect to the axial direction of the tire. Each outer block sidewall includes a middle portion and a pair of end portions, wherein the middle portion is inclined gently with respect to the end portions in relation to a radial direction of the tire.
