  • Publication number: 20130063399
Abstract: To produce an ultrathin and easily assembled optical pointing device by reducing the number of components, an optical pointing device (10) of the present invention includes: a light source (2) for emitting light to an object (1); a light guide (6) for propagating therethrough light scattered by the object (1), the light guide including an image forming section (4) for forming an image with use of the light scattered by the object (1); and an image capturing section (7) for capturing the image with the light that has been scattered by the object (1) and that has exited the light guide (6). The light guide (6) guides a light beam (L) from the object via no air through an optical path extending from (i) a position where the light beam (L) enters the light guide to (ii) a position where the light beam exits the light guide (6).

  • Patent number: 7315502
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to attain stable tracking servo performance by suppressing an offset caused by a shift of an object lens or a tilt of a disk, despite the one-beam method which does not cause reduction in light quantity of the main beam. A diffraction grating is provided between a hologram and a light receiving section, and a diffraction efficiency of the diffraction grating is varied in a grating longitudinal direction. For example, if an incident light beam on the diffraction grating is shifted in the grating longitudinal direction, the quantity of received light in each light receiving section varies to cause offset. By performing tracking servo so as to cancel the change, it is possible to correct the offset, thereby attaining stable tracking servo performance.

  • Publication number: 20060108427
Abstract: Portable equipment (14) includes a housing (13), a first cushioning (12) and a camera module (10). The camera module (10) includes an optical component mounting portion (10A) having an optical lens and a CCD photodetecting portion, a camera module housing portion (10C) (mass body) and a second cushioning (10B). The camera module housing portion (10C) is connected to the optical component mounting portion (10A) via the second cushioning (10B). In the camera module (10), the upper surface and the bottom surface of the camera module housing portion (10C) are held by the housing (13) via the first cushioning (12). When an impact is applied to the housing (3), acceleration generated in the optical component mounting portion (10A) is reduced by the vibration of the camera module housing portion (10C). With this arrangement, the damage of the CCD photodetecting portion and so on due to a drop impact or the like can be prevented with a simple construction, allowing the portable equipment (14) to be downsized.
