Abstract: A Device Management (DM) method, a DM apparatus and a DM system are provided. The DM method includes: receiving a DM instruction; parsing the DM instruction to be used for managing at least two terminal devices, in which management data, used for managing the at least two terminal devices, indicated in the DM instruction is the same; obtaining the management data indicated in the DM instruction only once; and delivering the obtained management data to the at least two terminal devices so that the at least two terminal devices perform DM according to the management data. The utilization of an external interface of a gateway device may be improved by adopting the DM method, the DM apparatus and the DM system.

Abstract: A method for implementing fast playout includes receiving a fast playout request sent by a client, where the fast playout request comprises a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) corresponding to content of a media file with a specified multiple of regular playout rate by the client, and the specified multiple of regular playout rate is determined by the client according to obtained media presentation description; and obtaining a content segment corresponding to the media file with the specified multiple of regular playout rate according to the URL, and sending a fast playout response to the client, where the fast playout response comprises the content segment corresponding to the media file with the specified multiple of regular playout rate. Therefore, fast online playing is implemented, and user experience is improved at the same time.

Abstract: A method for hierarchically requesting contents in a HTTP streaming system is provided, which includes: receiving a service information obtaining request transmitted from a client; returning a service information obtaining request response comprising media presentation description information comprising URL corresponding to multi-level service content; receiving a service request message being a GET message transmitted from the client, wherein the service request message comprises the URL of the multi-level service content; and returning to the client a service request message response comprising the service content corresponding to the URL of the multi-level service content, so that the contents are searched for directly according to the URL, thereby improving processing efficiency.

Abstract: In the field of media transmission technologies, a method and an apparatus for transmitting Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) media are provided, which solve a problem that a specific capability mode to be used cannot be determined when both a server and a client have enhanced functions. In the method and system for transmitting the HTTP media, the respective information of HTTP streaming media capabilities supported by the server and by the client are obtained. According to the obtained information of the HTTP streaming media capabilities supported by the server and supported by the client, the HTTP streaming media capability used by the server or the client in a subsequent media transmission procedure is determined. The server provides media services according to the determined HTTP streaming media capability; or the client obtains the media services according to the determined HTTP streaming media capability.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies and discloses a method and an apparatus for performing device management through a gateway device and a Device Management Server (DMS). The method for performing device management through a gateway device includes: receiving a register message which carries a terminal ID and a gateway device address; associating and storing the terminal ID and the gateway device address; obtaining the gateway device address according to the association record; and sending a Device Management (DM) notification message to the gateway device according to the gateway device address so that the gateway device performs corresponding processing according to the DM notification message. With the technical solution of the present invention, a DMS is able to send a DM notification to a user terminal through a gateway device.

Abstract: A system for issuing a license includes a Content Issuer (CI) configured to receive a Cooperate-RORequest from a Rights Issuer (RI). The CI encapsulates, according to the information carried in the Cooperate-RORequest, content related information by using a key of a destination entity to obtain an encapsulation key, and generates a Message Authentication Code (MAC) on part of information of a license. The CI sends the generated MAC and obtained encapsulation key to the RI, so that the RI sends the license that includes the MAC and the encapsulation key to the destination entity.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for sharing a license between SRMs are disclosed. The method includes: a DRM agent obtains the license from a first SRM, and sets the license to a forwarding state locally; the DRM agent deducts one right of sharing the license; and the DRM agent sends the license to a second SRM. In the prior art, one moving right is deducted when the license moves from SRM1 to the device, and the other moving right is deducted when the license moves from the device to SRM2. By contrast, in the technical solution under the present invention, the license forwarded by the DRM agent is set to the forwarding state, and only one sharing right needs to be deducted, and therefore, the consumption of the sharing rights is reduced and the subscriber's rights are protected.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a Rights Object (RO) are provided. A method for upgrading the RO includes: acquiring, by a Digital Rights Management (DRM) Agent, RO related information of the RO that requires updating from a Secure Removable Media (SRM) Agent; providing, by the DRM Agent, the RO related information to a Rights Issuer (RI), and obtaining a new RO from the RI; and interacting, by the DRM Agent, with the SRM Agent to upgrade the RO that requires updating on the SRM by means of the new RO. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the DRM Agent acquires RO related information which is stored on the SRM and does not have Move rights, and interacts with the RI to move the RO out from the SRM, so as to move the RO without the Move rights out from the SRM, thus extending an application of the RO without the Move rights.

Abstract: A method for importing or moving a rights object (RO) is provided, which includes the following steps. A rights issuer (RI) receives a request message of importing or moving an RO to a target device, the request message including key information encapsulated by a public key of the target device; the RI generates the RO according to the request message, the RO including the key information encapsulated by the public key of the target device; and the RI provides the RO for the target device. An RI is also provided. In the present invention, the key information encapsulated by the public key of the target device is provided for the RI, and the real key is hidden from the RI, such that the un-trust RI cannot generate the illegal RO for other devices except the target device, thereby enhancing the security of importing or moving the RO through the RI.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for transferring licenses, a device for issuing licenses, and a communication system, and relates to the Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology. The method includes: the first issuing device receives a request of transferring a license issued by the second issuing device; the first issuing device transfers the license after determining that a relationship is set up with the second issuing device. The license issuing device includes: a receiving module, a setup module, a determining module, and a sending module. The communication system includes: a first issuing device, a second issuing device, and a device requesting to transfer a license. Through the present invention, an issuing device may transfer the licenses issued by other issuing devices, thus improving the flexibility of transferring the licenses.

Abstract: A method for license interaction and interaction recovery after interruption overcomes the problems of mobility loss and waste of rights of the license due to interruption of communication during the license interaction. This method includes: when a first device and a second device interact on license information, both devices record the interaction related information; after the interaction is interrupted and the connection is re-established, the first device and the second device continue the interaction when determining that the interaction is uncompleted according to the recorded information. A communication device and a digital rights management (DRM) system are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for exporting permission is provided to solves the problem that the permission can not be exported multiple times among several DRM systems in the prior art; the method includes that: determining that a license is permitted to be exported to a system that a target device belongs to; determining whether an export permission in the license is permitted to be exported; and exporting the export permission in the license to the target device if the export permission in the license is permitted to be exported, which enables the target device to export the license to another device. A terminal apparatus, a server and a communication network are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for operating a Right For Contents (R4C) includes: obtaining, by a terminal, a hybrid RO generated by the RI server, with the R4C items and the operation Rights For Rights (R4Rs) carried in the hybrid RO; operating the R4C items in the hybrid RO according to the R4R. A method for adding an R4R includes: a terminal receives a hybrid RO that includes the existing rights of the terminal and the newly added R4R; the terminal operates the R4C in the hybrid RO according to the new R4R. The present invention also discloses a terminal and a server. The present invention enables the RI to control the rights at a finer granularity, intensifies the RI's control on the rights, and provides a mechanism of purchasing an R4R after an RO is purchased.

Abstract: A method, a system, a Rights Issuer and a user terminal are provided for restricting the users of media content. For restricting the users of media content, a DRM agent inside a user terminal obtains the copyright control information that carries the user identity of the current media content, receives a rights verification request that carries the identity of the current initiator of the current media content, and checks whether the current initiator can trigger the play of the current media content according to the user identity in the copyright control information mentioned previously and the identity of the current initiator carried in the rights verification request. If the current initiator is allowed to trigger the play of the current media content, the DRM agent provides the current decrypted media content to a media player. Otherwise, the DRM agent forbids the media player to play the current media content.

Abstract: A method for backing up and restoring a license is provided, which solves the problem of right proliferation in the prior art caused when an original license is transmitted to a user when a server restores the license. The method includes: backing up, at a server, license information of a first device, and associating the license information with a user identifier, the license information reflecting the current state information of a license when the first device reports the license information the last time; requesting, by a second device, the server to restore the license; and validating, by the server, a user identifier of the second device and the user identifier associated with the license information, and upon determination that the two user identifiers are consistent, generating a license based on the license information backed up, and transmitting the license to the second device. A terminal device, a server, and a license processing system are also provided.
