  • Patent number: 6345995
Abstract: An electric connector (2) having an insulating casing (5) with a number of cavities for respective electric terminals (4); a slide (15) movable with respect to the casing (5) in a direction perpendicular to the connection direction (A) of the terminals (4), and in turn having cam means (20) interacting with a complementary connector (3) to generate a force for mating the connectors (2, 3) in response to translation of the slide (15); and an activating lever (24) connected in articulated manner to the slide (15) and to the casing (5) by means of pins (27, 36) which engage respective slots (29, 35) in sliding manner to impart a translatory component of motion to the lever (24), and to vary the resisting arm of the lever (24) during rotation of the lever (24).

  • Patent number: 6220894
Abstract: An electric connector (3) connectable, in a longitudinal assembly direction (A), to a complementary connector (2), and having an insulating casing (14) defining a number of longitudinal cavities (16) for housing respective electric terminals (17), and main retaining means (25) for retaining the terminals (17) in a correct insertion position inside the cavities (16) and having, for each terminal, a retaining seat (71) formed in the terminal (17), and an elastic lance (72) associated with the respective cavity (16) and which clicks onto the retaining seat (71); the connector (3) also has, for each terminal (17), a stop member (75) carried by the respective elastic lance (72) and movable, by virtue of the position assumed by the terminal (17) inside the respective cavity (16), between a disabling position disabling connection of the connector (3) to the complementary connector (2) and corresponding to a position in which the elastic lance (72) does not engage the retaining seat (71) and the stop member (75) inte

  • Patent number: 6174200
Abstract: An electric connector (1) having an insulating casing (2) defining a number of cavities (3) for respective electric terminals (4); and a sealing unit (20) for protection against external agents and in turn having a sealing member (21) connected to the casing (2), on the side on which the terminals (4) are inserted inside the cavities (3), and having a number of through seats (22) coaxial with the cavities (3) and engaged by respective electric cables (5) connected to the terminals (4); the sealing unit having a protection member (30) in sheet form, which is located on one side of the sealing member (21) and has a number of slitted openings (31) coaxial with the cavities (3) and with the seats (22), and each defined by a number of flexible flaps (32) which are interposed between the respective terminal (4) and the sealing member (21) during passage of the terminal (4) inside the respective seat (22), so as to protect the sealing member (21) from contact with the terminal (4).

  • Patent number: 5749755
Abstract: A female electric terminal made of conductive sheet metal. The terminal has a contact body with contact first and second flexible blades which project from opposite walls of the contact body and which cooperate with a male terminal and a portion for connection to an electric cable. The blades define a gap smaller than the thickness of the male terminal. The male terminal is inserted into the gap and the blades cooperate elastically with opposite faces of the male terminal. The first and second blades are asymmetrical so as to define transversely offset contact areas on the respective faces of the male terminal.
