Abstract: A capless writing instrument with a retractable nib is disclosed. The instrument includes an external tubular housing, a writing unit carrying the nib, an ink feed and a sliding ink reservoir mounted inside the housing, and elements for controlling axial movement of the writing unit inside the housing. One end of the external tubular housing is closed partially by a fixed wall integral therewith. An internal tubular housing mounted axially and pivotally inside the external tubular housing, in turn, slidably mounts the writing unit operating internally thereto.
