The scale band is at least partially guided past the reading area by a guiding device, and can be set in accordance with a dosage setting of the injection device, and the dosage setting can be read from the reading area. A transport device, coupled to a dosage setting device of the injection device, is provided for transporting said scale band past the reading area.
