Abstract: The invention relates to a device for catching drops from a pipette mechanically attached to a pipetting device in the field of nucleic acid purification and amplification. Furthermore, a method for pipetting a liquid with a decreased potentiality of contamination of an analytical instrument as well as liquids or/and samples placed on said analytical instrument is provided. Abstract: A new apparatus is disclosed that can be assembled quickly and reliably. The apparatus contains a transfer module, at least two support modules firmly connected to said transfer module and at least two carrier elements firmly connected to said transfer module and bearing said transfer module. The apparatus is particularly useful for performing multistep analytical processes that require precise access of tools of a transfer tool to items on a working area.

Abstract: A new apparatus is disclosed which is useful for high throughput of samples without necessity of interrupting any analysis performed on said apparatus for reloading of disposables.
