  • Publication number: 20230013782
Abstract: A hydraulic tool is mountable to a prime mover. The hydraulic tool includes a bore-side hydraulic pressure sensor, a rod-side hydraulic pressure sensor, a control circuit, a wireless transmitter antenna providing a communication channel to a user interface, and a protective box assembly housing the bore-side hydraulic pressure sensor, the rod-side hydraulic pressure sensor, the control circuit, and the wireless transmitter antenna.

  • Patent number: 11466429
Abstract: A hydraulic tool with a protective box assembly including a control circuit and hydraulic pressure sensors is used to operate a prime mover. The control circuit and the hydraulic pressure sensors are used to monitor performance of the hydraulic tool. Systems and methods implemented in a cloud monitor the performance of the hydraulic tool. The systems and methods utilize data collected by the hydraulic pressure sensors, processed by the control circuit, and transmitted via an antenna from the hydraulic tool to the cloud. A first set of systems and methods detect and predict a jam condition in blades associated with the hydraulic tool using statistical analysis of the data. A second set of systems and methods detect faults associated with the hydraulic tool including hydraulic leakage, mechanical wear, and friction.

  • Patent number: 11359351
Abstract: An output shaft of a hydraulic motor is enclosed within a sealed housing and coupled to an input shaft of an electric generator using non-contact couplings. Tool electrical components are electrically coupled to the electric generator. A high pressure hydraulic tool circuit includes a hydraulic tool load and the hydraulic motor of the electric power generation assembly coupleable between a hydraulic boom inlet line and a hydraulic boom return line. Both the hydraulic tool load and the hydraulic motor of the electric power generation assembly can be designed to input hydraulic fluid up to the full rated pressure of the tool. The sealed housing of the hydraulic motor of the electric power generation assembly can be designed to retain hydraulic fluid within the interior up to the full rated pressure of the tool so that no case drain or separate low pressure return line for the hydraulic motor is necessary.

  • Patent number: 10808378
Abstract: A tool and cradle assembly coupleable to a carrier, the assembly including a backplate coupleable to the carrier; a pair of ears coupleable to and forwardly extending from a first side of the backplate; and at least one plate laterally coupleable to each ear. The ears each have a proximal portion, a distal portion, and an angle portion therebetween. The proximal portions are substantially parallel and spaced laterally at a first distance. The distal portions are substantially parallel and spaced laterally at a second distance. The first distance is larger than the second distance. Each angle portion is sloped inwards towards the other and is coupled to the corresponding distal and proximal portions. A sideplate is mounted to opposite sides of the tool. A pivot pin couples the distal portion of each ear to the tool substantially at center-mass. A boom-pin couples together the proximal portions and the sideplates.
