  • Publication number: 20240108207
Abstract: A method for updating image capture settings of a video medical device, comprises connecting the video medical device to a video monitor via a data cable, wherein two or more of the video medical device, the video monitor, and the data cable each include storage for storing image capture settings. It is determined which of the video medical device, the video monitor, or the data cable have a most up-to-date set of image capture settings for an identified video medical device. The most up-to-date set of image capture settings is forwarded to the video medical device when it is determined that one of the video monitor or the data cable include the most up-to-date set of image capture settings. The stored image capture settings on the video medical device are updated based on the received most up-to-date set of image capture settings.

  • Patent number: 9942371
Abstract: A communications device having a user configurable speakerphone feature is provided. A user may be provided with a plurality of selectable settings for configuring the operation of a microphone or the processing of speech. For example, a user may select settings to filter ambient noise for a cleaner sound or increase a microphone's sensitivity in a conference call environment. In one embodiment, the user may select a setting that changes a microphone level or microphone operating range. When the microphone detects speech, the speech may be processed in accordance with user selected processing settings. For example, a user may select settings to specify a gain control, a frequency response, or an activity threshold. Thus, a user may configure a speakerphone to improve sound quality on the receiving end.

  • Patent number: 8529442
Abstract: Video-based laryngoscopes having an external centrally located channel coursing from the handle to a curved blade configured to deliver an ETT to a trachea as visualized by a non-removable, or alternatively, a removable video camera and lighting unit located beneath the external channel. The channel laryngoscope may be made for single use in a patient and discarded, or be processed for re-use. Alternatively, the channel laryngoscope may have a removable video camera and lighting member located within an internal chamber that runs parallel with the external channel. In another embodiment a laryngoscope adapter may be detachably affixable to the channel laryngoscope equipped with the non-removable camera to provide a decontaminated or sterile surface to permit re-use of the channel laryngoscope without having to undergo washing or decontamination procedures.

  • Patent number: 7801573
Abstract: A charger cradle used for charging a battery of a portable electrical device. An electromagnetic device is disposed within the charger cradle proximate a metal piece of the cordless handset when the cordless handset is placed in a receiving portion of the charger cradle. The electromagnetic device generates a magnetic field when charge contacts of the charger cradle and the cordless handset are in contact and a charging current is conducted from a charging circuit of the charger cradle. The magnetic field attracts the metal piece of the cordless handset and securely holds the cordless handset into the receiving portion while the charging circuit charges the battery of the cordless handset.
