  • Publication number: 20240127402
Abstract: In some examples, a computing system accesses a field of view (FOV) image that has a field of view less than 360 degrees and has low dynamic range (LDR) values. The computing system estimates lighting parameters from a scene depicted in the FOV image and generates a lighting image based on the lighting parameters. The computing system further generates lighting features generated the lighting image and image features generated from the FOV image. These features are aggregated into aggregated features and a machine learning model is applied to the image features and the aggregated features to generate a panorama image having high dynamic range (HDR) values.

  • Patent number: 8923843
Abstract: A method of communicating provides multi-radio transmission diversity (MRTD). A base station receives downlink measurement reports from a mobile station regarding each of a plurality of downlinks between the mobile station and a plurality of base stations. The base station determines which of the base stations will transmit a selected transmission to the mobile station responsive to the received downlink measurement reports. The base station later receives an acknowledgement from the mobile station receiving the selected transmission. In a disclosed example, each of a plurality of base stations receives the downlink measurement reports. Each of the base stations determines, independent of the other base stations, which of the base stations will transmit the selected transmission.

  • Patent number: 8369859
Abstract: A transmit power control technique within a wireless communication system includes adjusting a transmit power used by a picocell base station unit based upon a position of the picocell within a macrocell. When a picocell base station unit is located relatively close to a macrocell base station or center of the macrocell, the transmit power of the picocell base station unit is increased to avoid downlink interference from the macrocell base station for mobile stations communicating within the picocell. When a picocell base station unit is located relatively close to an edge of a macrocell, the transmit power of the picocell base station is decreased to avoid interference caused by the picocell base station unit for mobile stations communicating within the macrocell in the vicinity of the picocell.

  • Patent number: 7835740
Abstract: A wireless communication system has at least one picocell within a macrocell. A method of communicating in that system includes using a set of predefined cell codes for respectively identifying macrocells. At least one predefined cell code is used for identifying all picocells within a macrocell to the macrocell. A picocell code distinct from the predefined cell codes is used for uniquely identifying a picocell to a mobile station with the macrocell. The mobile station is able to translate between the predefined cell code used by the macrocell to identify all picocells and the picocell code used to uniquely identify the picocell to the mobile station.

  • Patent number: 7512096
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for communicating data over a network between a communication node, for example, an access point having a first and a second antenna and a first and a second mobile station. The method comprises weighting a first data at the access point to transmit the first data using the first and second antennas so that the first mobile station only receives the first data and weighting a second data at the access point to transmit the second data using the first and second antennas so that the second mobile station only receives the second data. A space division multiple access (SDMA) module may cause a transmission protocol to transmit the first data to the first mobile station on the downlink and transmit the second data to the second mobile station in parallel to the transmission of the first data on the downlink.
