  • Publication number: 20240144279
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying synthetic party identities. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request from a relying party to assess validity of an identity presented by an asserting party in a network communication between the asserting party and the relying party, where the request includes identity data associated with the identity of the asserting party. The method also includes calculating, by the computing device, an assessment metric representative of the validity of the identity of the asserting party, where the assessment metric is based on at least one score derived from the identity data, and transmitting, by the computing device, the assessment metric to the relying party, whereby the relying party utilizes the assessment metric to determine whether or not to further interact with the asserting party in connection with the network communication.

  • Publication number: 20230275899
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying synthetic identities. One example method includes receiving a request from a relying party for an identity asserted by a user to the relying party, where the request includes identity data indicative of the identity, feature data associated with the user asserting the identity, and a device ID for a communication device of the user. The method also includes calculating a fraud profile score, based on the identity data and a data structure of known fraud profiles, and aggregating the fraud profile score and at least one of a device behavior score, a user profile score, and/or an exposure behavior score into a metric indicative of a likelihood that the identity asserted by the user is a synthetic identity. The method then includes transmitting the metric to the relying party.

One example method includes receiving a request from a relying party for an identity asserted by a user to the relying party, where the request includes identity data indicative of the identity, feature data associated with the user asserting the identity, and a device ID for a communication device of the user. The method then includes aggregating the device behavior score and at least one of a fraud profile score, a user profile score, and/or an exposure behavior score into a metric indicative of a likelihood that the identity asserted by the user is a synthetic identity and transmitting the metric to the relying party.

  • Patent number: 11349842
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying synthetic identities. One exemplary method includes receiving a request from a relying party to assess validity of an identity indicated by a user in a network communication between the user and the relying party, where the request includes: identity data associated with the identity indicated by the user, feature data associated with submission of the network communication by the user to the relying party, and a device ID for a communication device associated with the user and used to submit the network communication. The method then includes calculating an assessment metric representative of the validity of the identity indicated by the user based on at least one score derived from the identity data, the feature data, and the device ID, and transmitting the assessment metric to the relying party.

  • Publication number: 20220067775
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for evaluating network interactions involving rewards. One exemplary computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a directory server, from a plug-in associated with a party, a query related to a network interaction directed to a reward account. The method also includes generating, by the directory server, a score associated with the query, based on a history of the reward account and the detail of the party, determining, by the directory server, whether the score satisfies a threshold, and directing a challenge to a user associated with the reward account, at a communication device associated with the user, in response to the generated score failing to satisfy the threshold. The method then includes transmitting, by the directory server to the plug-in, a reply based on the generated score and/or the response to the challenge, thereby providing additional authentication of the user for the network interaction.

  • Publication number: 20210264452
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in identifying recurring local entities for a target region. One exemplary method includes receiving a request for identifying recurring local entities for a target region and accessing data for the target region for multiple accounts. The data is representative of multiple transactions and multiple accounts, with each transaction having an account number associated with a user and a region identifier associated with an entity involved in the transaction. The method also includes determining a local region for each of the accounts included in the data and, for each determined local region that is the same as the target region, identifying one or more recurring entity from the transactions to said accounts having the determined local region. The method then includes compiling a listing of recurring local entities including the identified one or more recurring entities.

  • Publication number: 20210158362
Abstract: An application server for automated data transfers and associated methods are disclosed. A request to initiate a data transfer from a first account of a first entity to a second account of a second entity different from the first entity is received. A request to initiate a first data transfer from the first account of the first entity to an intermediary account of an intermediate entity different from the first entity and the second entity is sent to a data transfer server. After a threshold duration from a time at which that the request to initiate the first data transfer was sent and while the first data transfer is in flight, receiving transaction data for the first account of the first entity for the threshold duration and fraud risk data concerning one or both of the first entity and the second entity are received. A likelihood that the first data transfer fails without completion based on predetermined authorization criteria is determined.

  • Publication number: 20190339702
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating instructions for a vehicle to navigate an unsignaled intersection are provided. The method may include: generating an expected return over a sequence of actions of the vehicle; determining an optimal policy by selecting an action with a maximum value for the vehicle; executing dynamic frame skipping to expedite learning a repeated action of the vehicle; prioritize an experience replay by utilizing an experience replay buffer to break correlations between sequential steps of the vehicle; generate a plurality of state-action representations based on at least one of the expected return, the optimal policy, the dynamic frame skipping, or the prioritized experience replay; generate the instructions for navigating the unsignaled intersection based on the plurality of state-action representations; and transmit the instructions for navigating the unsignaled intersection to the vehicle such that the vehicle executes the instructions to navigate the unsignaled intersection.

  • Publication number: 20120254293
Abstract: An application server provides a portal application for provisioning one or more controlled communication systems, such as a virtual PBX's hosted on a server in a network environment through a portal application. The virtual PBXs are provisioned in response to data input in a particular PBX language. The portal application includes a viewer-and-controller module for presenting a graphical user interface (GUI) to a client containing fields for accepting user input pertaining to PBX provisioning requirements. An API interface module for communicating with the virtual PBXs includes a wrapper module which translates between normalized data for use by the viewer-and-controller module and data in the particular PBX language for any virtual PBX, and a provisioning module for communicating with the wrapper module.
