  • Publication number: 20060154710
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method and device for continuing and simulating an electronic multi-player game, i.e. an electronic game that involves more than one player or participant, if one of the players leaves the game. The invention is for special use in the field of mobile terminal devices, communication networks such as the internet and other mobile networks. The method for continuing a multi-player game in case of an absence of a player participating in the game comprises running a multi player game application receiving an indication that the player taking part in the multi-player game is absent, and continuing the game by simulating the participation of the player who is actually absent. So it is possible to continue a multi-player game, if one of the game partners intends to pause or to leave the game party.

  • Publication number: 20060114757
Abstract: A mass storage, an electronic multi-track reproducer, and a method to reproduce multi-track data are shown. The possibility is provided to change the reproduction medium according to present environmental conditions, e.g., to change from a text reproduction seamlessly to the reproduction of a radio play, in case environmental conditions indicate that the user is actually not capable of reading because of vibrations or illumination that is too low. To provide these features to a user, a mass storage, a multi-track reproducer, and a method for reproducing the tracks according to detected environmental conditions is provided. The invention is based on multi-track data, wherein at least a subset of the tracks is sufficient for a basic perception of the data, and at least two of the tracks are provided with synchronization markers. The reproduction can seamlessly jump between the different tracks and reproduction modes, as the tracks are synchronized by the markers.
