  • Patent number: 8177156
Abstract: A sheet roll dispenser includes an open-top hollow housing closed by a hingedly mounted lid. A first embodiment includes first and second roller support members mounted within the housing. A roll of sheet material is supported by the first roller support member when the housing is in a tabletop orientation and by the second roller support member when in a wall-mounted orientation. A nip is mounted in registration with an opening formed in the front wall. A free end of the sheet material is disposed in the nip. A switch actuator actuates a motor, causing the free end of the sheet material to be unrolled from the core and dispensed to a user through the opening. In a second embodiment, the roller support members may be rotatably mounted rollers, low-friction surfaces, or both. A third embodiment eliminates the rollers and plates and provides a “U”-shaped low friction surface.

  • Patent number: 7870950
Abstract: A conveyor system includes first and second upstanding posts disposed in longitudinally spaced apart relation to one another. Each post is surmounted by forward and rearward support arms that form a “V”-shape. A forward drive belt is mounted for rotation along a path of travel perpendicular to the forward support arms. A first embodiment cradles a product container between the forward drive belt and a rearward primary support arm. A second embodiment includes the first embodiment structure and adds a rearward secondary support arm. A third embodiment includes the primary but not the rearward secondary support arm, the forward drive belt and a forward secondary support arm. A fourth embodiment includes the rearward primary and secondary support arms, the forward drive belt and a forward secondary support arm. The product container is tilted from vertical so that the conveyor follows a path of travel including curvatures having no guide rails.

  • Patent number: 6378695
Abstract: A conveyance system has movable guide rails that can be positioned close to one another when small packages or articles are carried by the system or further apart from one another if the conveyed packages or articles are large. The spacing between the guide rails is controlled by a linkage arrangement that includes a center link mounted for conjoint rotation on a longitudinally disposed drive shaft. Each opposite end of the center link is pivotally attached to an outer link and the outboard end of each outer link is pivotally mounted to a slideably mounted mounting block to which is secured a rail support for holding a guide rail. The drive shaft is rotated manually through a control knob or the rotation is performed by a reversible motor. Alternatively, a bell crank rotates the drive shaft in a first direction to cause convergence of the guide rails and in a second, opposite direction to cause divergence of the guide rails. In a second embodiment, the conveyor system has a curvature formed in it.
