  • Patent number: 11928847
Abstract: Provided are computer-implemented technologies of authenticating documents. The technologies use a set of photo images (or videos), taken under a certain illumination condition and from a set of distinct tilting angles, on one or more security/ID features of one or more documents of a document genre whose authenticity is ascertained, to train an Artificial Intelligence (AI) machine learning program to build a learned model. The learned model, through the said training, attains a set of angular responses of the document genre under the illumination condition which encode a set of descriptive information about each of the one or more security/ID features of the document genre under the illumination condition. The learned model, then, is applied to authenticate, one by one, a number of target documents of the document genre whose authenticity is unknown and to be determined.

  • Patent number: 11861853
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method of embedded ego vehicle speed estimation apparatus, including a car-mounted monocular camera for capturing a sequence of video frames of an outdoor scene from a moving car, where the outdoor scene includes a road, as a camera channel, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured with a single-shot network and a 3D convolutional neural network (3D-CNN), the single-shot network segments features of the road in the video frame sequence and generates a masked-attention map for the segmented road features, a concatenation circuit concatenates the masked-attention map as an additional channel to the camera channel to generate a masked-attention input, and the 3D-CNN network receives the masked-attention input and generates an estimated speed of the ego vehicle based on displacement of the segmented road features in the video sequences.

  • Publication number: 20230399197
Abstract: A stackable, non-contact device for operating elevator buttons is described. The non-contact device includes a servo mechanism with a dual-arm configured to press either of two elevator buttons. Two proximity sensors are configured to register the approach of a finger touch of either proximity sensor, which commands the servo mechanism to press the corresponding elevator button. The stackable, non-contact device includes a microcontroller configured to receive near field communications from a mobile application, which includes commands for pressing a specific elevator button.

  • Publication number: 20230360246
Abstract: Provided is an edge-device based system and method for real-time detection and dimension estimation of signages by capturing images thereof by using a mounted monocular camera then processing them using a multi-module system that comprises Object Detection, Segmentation, Tracking, and Dimension Estimation modules to detect, segment, track, and estimate dimension of shop boards. The system/method also applies a deep neural network that is trained with labeled data to optimize the model parameters gathered by capturing video from moving vehicle passing through multiple different shops with unconfined locations.

  • Publication number: 20230216693
Abstract: Provided is a method and/or system that facilitates offline sharing and verifying digital identity claims among NFC enabled portable smart devices that are enabled by enabling applications. The enabled portable smart-devices store, verify and share identity, peer to peer and offline. Each identity claim is digitally signed by an identity issuing authority, and the claim can be verified to reliably detect tampering of the claim and thus brings trust in the process of claim sharing and verifying the identity/credentials embodied in the claim. Either Blockchain or non-blockchain, as the backend system of the method/system, can be used, via an inter-operable middleware layer, for onboarding claim holders, claim verifiers, and claim issuers, and for creating/issuing, for managing digital identity claims. NFC, as the communication protocol, facilitates secure data sharing among the NFC-enabled devices.
