  • Publication number: 20050209126
Abstract: An oil containing starch granule is provided comprising: (a) a starch to form an effective matrix for said granule; (b) a perfume oil comprising ingredients having a calculated Clog P of at least 3, said Clog P being the calculated octanol to water partition coefficient, said perfume oil being capable of providing a benefit-additive to a substrate upon contact therewith, said substrate being selected from the group consisting of fabrics, hard surfaces, hair and skin; and (c) an effective amount of an organic compound for inhibiting the migration of said oil to the surface of said starch granule, said compound being represented by the following structure: wherein R1 and R2 are each independently, H or: (a) C1-C22 alkylenecarboxy moiety having the formula —(CH2)eR3 wherein R3 is —NHCOR4; or —COR4; or —NR5COR4; and wherein R4 and R5 are each independently C1-C22 alkyl or alkenyl; and e is an integer from 1 to 22; or (b) C1-C22 linear or branched alkyl; or (c) C1-C22 linear or branched alkenyl; or (d) C2

  • Patent number: 5496490
Abstract: A particulate laundry detergent composition is provided having significantly improved oily soil removal activity. The composition comprises (a) from about 1 to 50%, by weight, of one or more detergent compounds selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic and amphoteric detergent compounds, and mixtures thereof; (b) a lipase enzyme in an amount effective for oily soil removal from stained fabric; and (c) a soil release polymer in an amount effective for oily soil removal from stained fabric. The laundry detergent compositions is characterized by its ability to remove a variety of oily soils from fabric to an extent greater than the additive soil removing effects measured with comparative compositions containing components (a) and (b), and components (a) and (c), respectively.

  • Patent number: 4853259
Abstract: A particulate built nonionic synthetic organic detergent composition includes a detersive proportion of a nonionic synthetic organic detergent and a building proportion, in combination, of a polyacetal carboxylate builder for the nonionic detergent and carbonate and bicarbonate builders for such nonionic detergent. Such compositions are readily made by adding polyacetal carboxylate builder to the formula of a control detergent composition, with corresponding diminutions of other component(s), and have detersive powers superior to such control despite the decrease in proportions present of detergent and other builders. Preferably, certain nonionic detergents, polyacetal carboxylate builders, carbonate and bicarbonate, in certain proportions, are employed to make a product of better detergency and physical characteristics, e.g., flowability.

Abstract: A particulate built nonionic synthetic organic detergent composition includes a detersive proportion of a nonionic synthetic organic detergent and a building proportion, in combination, of a polyacetal carboxylate builder for the nonionic detergent and a polyphosphate builder for such nonionic detergent. Such compositions are readily made by adding polyacetal carboxylate builder to the formula of a control detergent composition, with corresponding diminutions of other component(s), and have detersive powers superior to such control despite the decrease in detergent and other builders. Preferably, certain nonionic detergents, polyacetal carboxylate builders and polyphosphate, in certain proportions, are employed for better detergency and physical characteristics, e.g., flowability.
