Abstract: An aircraft equipped with peripherally configured directional thrust capability has an onboard primary power source producing compressed air, and at least two thrust producing modules. Each thrust producing module has a fuel source and receives compressed air from the primary power source. Each module is attached to a respective rotatable support structure for independently varying the thrust angle of the thrust producing module with respect to the aircraft, all thrust producing modules being connected to a common controller for coordinated control of the aircraft.
