The system can select a question asking for a passcode corresponding to certain access to the secured location. The question can be spoken to a user through a loudspeaker at the secured location. The user's spoken response can be processed by the system, for example using keyword spotting, to determine if the proper access word is included. If it is, the system can grant access to the secured area.

Abstract: Techniques for remote interfacing with one or more computing devices may be provided. For example, a computing node may be communicatively coupled with the one or more computing devices. Each of the one or more computing devices may be associated with a device-specific interface for interacting with the corresponding computing device. The computing node may host the one or more device-specific interfaces. The computing node may also host an agent. The agent may be configured to at least provide a common interface to interact with the one or more device-specific interfaces. As such, status information of the one or more computing devices may be monitored based at least in part on utilizing the common interface. The status information may also be provided for presentation.

Abstract: Methods and devices for using a backend system to allow access to a residence are provided herein. In some embodiments, a call box located at a residence may call a telephone number associated with a user account on the backend system that corresponds to a resident of the residence. When the call box calls the telephone number associated with the user account, an audio message may be provided that includes a question whose answer is a user selected passphrase. A response to the question is then analyzed to determine whether or not the response includes the passphrase. If so, a signal, such as an audible tone, is provided to the call box. The audible tone, when played, may cause a door of the residence to become unlocked.
