Part of security for a reader is a secure cover having a trace mesh to discourage drilling through the cover. The mesh may be connected to one or more landing areas on the cover. The landing area has electrical pads with trace routing that provides tamper protection for the landing area.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure generally relate to a battery bracket for electronic devices. In one aspect, an electronic component includes a printed circuit board (PCB) having a first and a second battery contact. Connected to the PCB is a battery bracket having a first, a second and a third foot, each foot extending in a first plane. At least one of the feet is connected to the first battery contact. Each of the first, second and third feet are coupled to a first, a second and a third sidewall, respectively.
