  • Patent number: 11378311
Abstract: The invention in question pertains to the technological field of refrigeration compressors. A hermetic compressor for positive displacement is disclosed whose airtight housing is specially altered so that its natural frequencies of vibration are distributed at frequencies above 4200 Hz and whose “capacitance density” is greater than 160 W/L.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 17, 2018
Date of Patent: July 5, 2022
    Assignee: WHIRLPOOL S. A.
Inventors: Rodrigo Kremer, Ricardo Mikio Doi, Dietmar Erich Bernhard Lilie
  • Publication number: 20200032944
Abstract: The present invention refers to a fluid-conducting pipe of a reciprocating compressor made of polymeric material, and further including at least one vibrational energy dissipation element, basically, aiming at solving the problem of noise and the breakage of the pipe deriving from the resonance of the discharge piping in reciprocating compressors operating at high angular speed regimes.

  • Patent number: 10539126
Abstract: Reduction of noise produced by hermetic compressors. The acoustic filter includes an inlet duct, an outlet duct and a main chamber. The inlet duct includes a refrigerant fluid inlet and a refrigerant fluid delivery end. The refrigerant fluid delivery end is opposite to the refrigerant fluid inlet and it is capable of guiding the refrigerant fluid to the main chamber. The outlet duct includes a refrigerant fluid outlet and a refrigerant fluid collection end. The refrigerant fluid collection end is opposite to the refrigerant fluid outlet for guiding the refrigerant fluid from the main chamber to the fluid outlet. The filter includes a resonator chamber arranged adjacent to the inlet duct and adjacent to the main chamber. The resonator chamber and the inlet duct are fluidically connected by a resonator tube and the resonator chamber is separated from the main chamber by a sealing wall.

  • Publication number: 20170260974
Abstract: The present invention lies in the field of mechanical engineering and describes a discharge acoustic filter. Specifically, the present invention includes a discharge acoustic filter, optionally made of polymeric material in which the connections between the discharge chambers are internally disposed, in order to reduce the surface area of the discharge acoustic filter, reducing heat exchange in relation to the hermetic volume, thus, increasing thermal efficiency and reducing the energy consumption of the system.
