The first part has a drilling head and an annular barrier with a tubular metal part, an expandable metal sleeve and an annular space between the inner face of the expandable metal sleeve and the tubular metal part. Drilling is commenced and then stopped when a loss of formation pressure is detected. A ball is dropped into the drill string and the drill string is pressurized. The expandable metal sleeve is expanded with pressure until the expandable metal sleeve abuts the inner face of the borehole. The second part of the drill string is separated from the first part and pulled out of the borehole. Cement is injected into the borehole above the first part to provide a cement plug above the first part.
