  • Patent number: 9582070
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided for determining whether a user intends to provide an input using an image of a control appearing on a surface. An apparatus may include first and second cameras to capture set and second sets of two or more images of the surface, and a unit to determine whether various conditions are true. A first condition is that a particular number of skin-color pixels are present within one cell of the two or more images. A cell location substantially coincides with the image of the control. A second condition is that the skin-color pixels persist for at least a particular time period. A third condition is that a region of skin-color pixels has a substantially rectangular shape. A fourth condition is that corresponding edges of skin-color pixels in the first and second sets of images are within a predefined offset distance. Additional conditions are disclosed.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for determining whether a user intends to provide an input using an image of a control appearing on a surface. An apparatus may include a first camera to capture two or more images of the surface, and a unit to determine whether various conditions are true. A first condition is that a particular number of pixels classified as skin color are present within one cell of the two or more images. A cell has a location substantially coinciding with the image of the control. A second condition is that the pixels classified as skin color persist for at least a particular time period. A third condition is that the pixels classified as skin color have a first shape. Additional conditions are disclosed. A signal indicative of an intent of a user to provide an input may be provided if the each of the first, second, and third conditions are true.

  • Patent number: 7464353
Abstract: A method for generating an integrated circuit (IC) is provided wherein signal delays are transferable across two synthesis libraries where each library is associated with a different IC fabrication process. The method initiates with describing an IC design through a hardware description language (HDL). The method includes identifying logic signal delay points within the HDL. Then, technology-independent logic signal delay code is inserted within the delay points of the HDL representation. A system for designing an IC is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080062312
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a device that use two different clock frequencies to encode video. The method and device would allow videos taken by an electronic device with input clock frequency at 26 MHz, to be encoded for playing back on TV. An exemplary method of using a 26 MHz clock to encode luminance and chrominance data of digital video data is provided. The method includes re-sampling the luminance and the chrominance data to extend a first number of data per line to a second number of data per line, and modulating the re-sampled chrominance data in the input clock domain by color subcarrier signals driven by an input clock. The method also includes combining the modulated re-sampled chrominance data and the re-sampled luminance data, and converting the combined modulated re-sampled chrominance data and re-sampled luminance data into analog signals. In one embodiment, the first number is 1652 and the second number is 1652 4/9.

  • Patent number: 7075543
Abstract: A graphics controller providing flexible access to a graphics display device by a host. The controller includes an input bus for coupling to an output bus of the host, an output bus for coupling to the input bus of the graphics display device, a video processing circuit having an input coupled to the input bus of the graphics controller and an output coupled to the output bus of the graphics controller, and a bypass switching circuit adapted to switchably couple the input bus of the graphics controller to the output bus of the graphics controller so as to bypass the video processing circuit.

  • Publication number: 20040207608
Abstract: A picture frame for a display is provided without using any additional display memory. A multiplexer is provided between the display controller output and the display device. There are twelve programmable values which are utilized to control the multiplexer. These twelve parameters are stored in registers in the display controller. The loading of these registers allows a picture frame of any size to be placed on the LCD panel. The color and attributes of the desired picture frame can be modified to meet any display requirements.
