Abstract: A method for providing coordinated notification comprises storing a plurality of service profiles in a network-accessible repository. Each profile includes data relating to a service, a user, and data relating to identifying the user by the provider of the service. When a notification request relating to a change of status of a first user is received via the network, a subset of the plurality of service profiles is determined, each profile of the subset comprising data that are affected by the change of status of the first user. Based on each profile of the subset of profiles, contact data is extracted defining a mode of delivery for providing a notification message to a service provider that is associated with that profile, and address information for directing delivery of the notification message to the service provider via the mode of delivery.
