  • Patent number: 4785968
Abstract: A serving platter for supporting hot pizza pans to keep the pan from direct contact with the table where it is to be served.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 1987
Date of Patent: November 22, 1988
    Assignee: Logan-Barlow, Inc.
Inventors: Eugene T. Logan, Richard A. Barlow, James E. Logan
  • Patent number: 4595120
Abstract: Insulated cooking utensils comprising inner and outer cooking surfaces having an air chamber interposed therebetween for isolating or insulating the inner cooking surface from direct heat application during a cooking operation, a plurality of support members interposed between the inner and outer cooking surfaces for securely retaining the spaced relationship therebetween for assuring an efficient insulation afforded by the air chamber.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 5, 1984
Date of Patent: June 17, 1986
Inventors: Eugene T. Logan, Richard A. Barlow
  • Patent number: 4563946
Abstract: A pizza pan having a substantially flat bottom surface surrounded by an arcuate or concave peripheral wall which terminates, at its outer edge, in a tubular element surrounding the entire outer periphery of the pan. A plurality of relatively small apertures are provided on the bottom of the pan and are selectively spaced thereon to provide a sufficient flow of heat to the central portion of the underside of the crust for an efficient baking thereof. A sufficiently great solid area is provided around the perforated area for supporting the outer edges of the pizza in a manner whereby the transfer of heat thereto is reduced with respect to the heat transfer at the perforate area to assure an even baking of the entire pizza.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 1984
Date of Patent: January 14, 1986

  • Patent number: 4146188
Abstract: Apparatus for forming a cylindrical element from a fibrous web, the element having a predetermined density characteristic radially thereof, comprises an endless belt, guide means about which said belt is entrained and which are arranged to define a loop in said belt to which loop the fibrous web is fed, said guide means being arranged so that, in use, said loop extends around substantially the entire circumference of the element forming in said loop, means for driving said belt so as to thereby cause the fibrous web to be fed into said loop and there to roll up on itself, and means for progressively increasing the diameter of said loop, said loop diameter increasing means including a control member about which said belt is entrained and which is movable to vary the dimensions of said loop, and means for moving said control member so as to increase the diameter of said loop at a rate which is a function of the linear speed of the belt and the length and weight per unit length of the fibrous web so as to obtain
