  • Publication number: 20190353843
Abstract: A method of fabricating polymer modulators includes forming an insulating layer on a platform and depositing and patterning a ground electrode on the insulating layer. A bottom polymer cladding layer, a first blocking layer, a polymer core layer, a second blocking layer, and a top polymer cladding layer are deposited in order. A third blocking layer is deposited on the top cladding layer and patterned to define vias which are used to etch ground openings through the top polymer cladding layer, the second blocking layer, the core layer, the first blocking layer, and the bottom cladding layer to the ground electrode. The openings are filled with electrically conductive material from electrical communication with the ground electrode to a surface of the top polymer cladding layer. The third blocking layer is removed and electrical contacts are formed on the top polymer cladding layer in electrical communication with the electrically conductive material.

  • Patent number: 10402640
Abstract: A method for schematizing fields in documents involves segmenting an image of a document into snippets, classifying a first, a second, and a third snippet of the snippets as a first label, a second label, and a data field, respectively. The method further includes generating, for a combination of the first label and the data field, a first image to be classified, and classifying the first image to be classified to obtain a first classification score. The method further includes generating, for a combination of the second label and the data field, a second image to be classified, and classifying the second image to be classified to obtain a second classification score. The method also includes determining that the first classification score is greater than the second classification score and identifying, based on the determining step, that the data field is associated with the first label.

  • Patent number: 9868427
Abstract: A vehicle brake booster system includes a reservoir, a pump, and a brake booster. The brake booster includes an input member adapted to receive a manual braking input force and an output member adapted to apply a braking output force to a master cylinder. A supply line couples the pump to the brake booster, and a return line couples an outlet of the brake booster to the reservoir. A flow of hydraulic fluid pumped to the brake booster provides a boost factor by which the braking output force exceeds the braking input force. The brake booster is hydraulically lockable by a first valve in the supply line and a second valve in the return line such that when the first and second valves are closed, a quantity of hydraulic fluid is trapped within the brake booster to maintain operation of the brake booster without continued operation of the pump.
