    Abstract: A wing airframe for a wing of a tiltrotor aircraft includes a wing airframe core assembly and a wing skin assembly disposed on the wing airframe core assembly. The wing skin assembly includes an outer skin and a damping sublayer, the damping sublayer interposed between the outer skin and the wing airframe core assembly. The tiltrotor aircraft includes a pylon assembly subject to aeroelastic movement during forward flight. The wing is subject to deflection in response to the aeroelastic movement of the pylon assembly. The damping sublayer reduces the deflection of the wing, thereby stabilizing the wing during forward flight.

    Abstract: A method for detecting presence of a person includes emitting, by a speaker of a device, a plurality of ultrasonic ping signals, receiving, by a microphone of the device, a plurality of reflected ultrasonic ping signals, and processing the received reflected signals to determine a presence of a person within a predetermined distance of the device. The processing includes determining changes in the reflected signals relative to the emitted signals by generating an impulse response by cross-correlating the received signals and the emitted signals, averaging the cross-correlated impulse response over a set time period, and generating a detection signal by subtracting the averaged cross-correlated impulse response from an instantaneous impulse response, applying a time gating function to select a portion of the detection signal corresponding to the reflected signal from the predetermined distance from the device, and applying gain compensation to the time gated detection signal to compensate signal falloff.

Example methods may include determining an impression counter value for the first user identifier at the second time, selecting a product identifier from the candidate product identifiers using the impression counter value, and determining a first bid amount using the product identifier.

    Abstract: A double-ended socket system for safely and easily seating a double-ended lamp is disclosed. The system has two socket assemblies spaced a distance corresponding to the length of a double-ended lamp. Each socket assembly has a housing with a recess that houses a cylindrical socket for receiving a lamp end that rotates between a disengaged orientation and an engaged orientation. The housing has an attached electrical connector connected to a power source. The socket has another attached electrical connector that contacts the electrical connector of the housing only when the socket is rotated to the engaged orientation, thus eliminating the electrical shock hazard of conventional double-ended socket systems. The lamp may be removed only while in the disengaged orientation. A user may install a double-ended lamp into the socket system by use of only one hand. A method of use of a double-ended socket system is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A soft-in-plane proprotor system for a tiltrotor aircraft having a helicopter mode and an airplane mode. The proprotor system includes a hub, a plurality of proprotor blades and a plurality of blade support assemblies coupling the proprotor blades with the hub. Each blade support assembly includes a flapping bearing coupled to the hub and a yoke having first and second longitudinal sections with outboard grip members and an inboard arcuate section connecting the first and second longitudinal sections and coupled to the flapping bearing. A lead-lag damper is coupled between the hub and an inboard station of the respective proprotor blade. A twist shank is coupled between the outboard grip members of the yoke and an outboard station of the respective the proprotor blade. The twist shank defines a virtual lead-lag hinge outboard of the yoke and coincident with the respective pitch change axis.

The materials can be selected to ensure high index contrast in the blocking filter and low optical losses in the bandpass filter. The first to fourth layers can be deposited directly on a photodetector array.

A bid may be calculated for each of the selected items using the values determined by the retargeting model.
