  • Publication number: 20240070071
Abstract: A context-information-dependent instruction causes a context-information-dependent operation to be performed based on specified context information indicative of a specified execution context. A context information translation cache 10 stores context information translation entries each specifying untranslated context information and translated context information. Lookup circuitry 14 performs a lookup of the context information translation cache based on the specified context information, to identify whether the context information translation cache includes a matching context information translation entry which is valid and which specifies untranslated context information corresponding to the specified context information. When the matching context information translation entry is identified, the context-information-dependent operation is performed based on the translated context information specified by the matching context information translation entry.

  • Patent number: 5188647
Abstract: A drop leg has a housing provided with top and bottom ends. The top end has an inlet and an outlet and the bottom end has a drain. An impingement plate supported within the housing is spaced from the top end to establish a separating chamber and to be directly contracted by the air stream through the inlet. The upper surface of the impingement plate is downwardly and inwardly inclined and has a central drain. The air stream striking the inclined surfaces rebounds towards the outlet. When vapors are to be removed, the drop leg is provided with a bulkhead below the impingement plate and is sealed to the housing and establishes with the impingement plate an intermediate chamber and with the bottom end a lower chamber for contaminants separated from the air stream.

When vapors are also present, the drop leg is provided with a bulkhead which is sealed to the housing and establishes with the impingement plate an upper chamber and with the bottom end a settling chamber for contaminants separated from the air stream.

  • Patent number: 5167176
Abstract: A tool for use with a tool holder has a body to which at least one blade such as a circular saw blade or milling cutter is clamped to prevent the blade from turning when a selected tooth is brought into cutting or grooving contact with a rotating work piece, the blade is of a type having its teeth so spaced and arranged that each tooth is spaced 90.degree. from another tooth. The body of the tool has first and second parallel clamping surfaces through which a straight slot opens. A first or front clamping member has a hub on which a blade is rotatably mounted and which fits the slot and is held thereby against turning. The two clamping members are connected by a threaded member by which the clamping members are drawn towards each other to clamp the blade against the first clamping surface. The slot is disposed and dimensioned so that, in use, it is normal to the axis of the work piece with one end above and the other end below that axis.

Abstract: A tool for use with a tool holder has a body to which at least one blade such as a circular saw blade or milling cutter is clamped to prevent the blade from turning when a selected tooth is brought into cutting or grooving contact with a rotating work piece, the body of the tool has first and second parallel clamping surfaces through which a diametric slot opens. A first clamping member has a hub on which a blade is rotatably mounted and which fits the slot and is held thereby against turning. The two clamping members are connected by a threaded member by which the clamping members are drawn towards each other to clamp the blade against the first clamping surface. A member threaded radially through the body extends into the slot and is operable to move the hub radially with respect to the center thereof enabling positions of a tooth relative to the work piece to be precisely established. When more than one blade is mounted on the hub, the blades are held apart by a spacer.

  • Patent number: 4978984
Abstract: A surveillance apparatus for installation in such an open ended housing as the air vent structure of a motor vehicle has first and second supports, the first support carries the cover for the housing and is movable between a position in which the outer exposed end of the housing is closed into raised positions. The second support is within the first support and is movable relative thereto and carries a surveillance unit which includes a camera and lens assembly within the housing with the center line of the lens when the cover is closed in the plane of the outer end of the housing. Both supports are shown in the disclosed embodiment, as driven by a reversible drive in a manner such that the second support at all times travels one-half the distance which the first support travels. Desirably and as shown, the surveillance unit includes a pan and tilt assembly on which the camera and lens assembly is mounted. The motors of the surveillance unit and the motor of the reversible drive are remotely controlled.

  • Patent number: 4002960
Abstract: A threading and/or tapping device has a housing including a tubular portion and a chamber portion that provides a shelf for a motor. A shaft rotatably connected to a slide within the tubular portion extends downwardly through the chamber portion with a tool holder on its exposed end. The slide is movable by the operator to advance and retract the shaft and a gear train within the chamber includes a drive gear on the motor shaft and a driven gear through the axis of which the tool holder shaft extends to rotate therewith and to slide relative thereto as the operator advances or retracts the shaft. The housing includes means for detachably attaching it with the work holder shaft either normal to or axially aligned with a support.

  • Patent number: 3979834
Abstract: A device for use in measuring the pitch diameter of gears has first and second pin-holding units movable along a straight, inclined pathway with means to lock one unit thereto against movement in a predetermined position relative to a gauge. Each pin extends upwardly from its unit and is backed by a V-shaped projection. A support is adjustable to position a gear in a plane transversely of the exposed ends of the pins with one pin seated between a pair of gear teeth and with a diametrically opposed pair of gear teeth positioned to have the other pin seated between them when the other unit is moved in the appropriate direction. The pins are dimensioned to seat against the pitch line of the teeth against which they are seated with the distance between the pins reflected by the gauge to give the relation of the actual pitch diameter to the ideal.

  • Patent number: 3968876
Abstract: A sterilized hypodermic needle is within a container having a necked receiver section and a cap section rotatably receiving the neck and providing a hermetic seal when the container is closed with the proximate ends of its sections abutting or nearly abutting and the sections have flat surfaces that are then substantially coplanar. A seal extends across the junction between the sections and is heat-sealed to flat surfaces and is of a material that will stretch, become deformed and ruptures as the container is opened. The seal is formed by first arranging a series of containers in a side-by-side, abutting relationship. A strip of the seal-forming material is disposed across the series to overlie the junction between the sections of the several containers and is secured to the exposed flat surfaces by heat seals extending lengthwise of the strip on opposite sides of the junctions and, finally, the tape is severed transversely to free each container.
