  • Patent number: 9086118
Abstract: A load pin and clevis joint for joining two or more mechanical components together. The load pin includes a retention feature that requires two separate motions to unlock the pin. In a locked state, the load pin is secured across both halves of a clevis joint so that it completely spans an open span between the two clevis halves. In the preferred embodiment, the two motions required to unlock the load pin are (1) moving the load pin linearly; and (2) rotating the load pin.

  • Publication number: 20140195305
Abstract: A method of creating a digital solution, such as a website, for a business where business specific information is collected separately before digital solution information is collected that pertains to the creation and delivery of the digital solution. The business specific information collected may be industry specific, stored separately in the system from digital solution information, and the digital solutions created for optimal presentation on customer computer devices with different configurations through means such as transcoding.

  • Patent number: 8053380
Abstract: Impact copolymers, comprising an in-reactor blend of homopolymer polypropylene and an ethylene-propylene rubber, can be processed into spunbond non-woven fabrics. These fabrics have been shown to have increased ultimate extension without reduction in the ultimate tensile strength, as compared to conventional homopolymer polypropylene derived spunbond non-wovens.

  • Publication number: 20110267631
Abstract: A method and apparatus sense the replacement of a used component with a new component within the apparatus using sensors within the apparatus. The method/apparatus can then automatically display a message on a graphic user interface of the apparatus in response to the sensing of the replacement. This message provides information for recycling the used component, and the message provides a shipping option for shipping the used component to an appropriate recycling location. If the shipping option is selected, the method/apparatus retrieves a shipping address from memory within the apparatus and prints a shipping label for shipping the used component to the recycling location using a printing engine operatively connected to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8048357
Abstract: A process for forcibly infusing liquid potting compound into the exposed strands of a cable prior to forming a termination. The process uses a mold that encloses the exposed strands. Potting compound is then pumped into the mold, where it runs around and through the exposed strands. A second venting passage is preferably employed, so that the liquid potting compound flows through the mold without trapping any air pockets.

  • Patent number: 7966837
Abstract: A register assembly for augmenting the flow of conditioned air from a central air-conditioning unit to a room includes a fan, a temperature sensor, and a processing means. The fan is operably positioned for increasing air flow through the register assembly. The temperature sensor is for measuring a temperature of air in the register assembly and for outputting a measured temperature signal. The processing means is for: receiving the measured temperature signal; using the measured temperature signal in determining whether the central air-conditioning unit is providing conditioned air to the room; and activating the fan to augment the conditioned air flow if the central air-conditioning unit is providing conditioned air to the room. The processing means also provides drift compensation to prevent unwanted operation of the fan due to temperature drifts.

  • Patent number: 7937435
Abstract: A system and method for storing context data in a network device that is in the data path between a user computer and a server, thereby allowing for the secure and ongoing storage of user computer-specific context data without adding unnecessary complexity to existing web server methods, while at the same time supporting redundancy and facilitating effective load-balancing. By storing user computer-specific context data in the data path between the user computer and the server, the invention reduces the complexity of the web server, improves the handling of server failure, and increases the overall scalability of the system.

  • Patent number: 7933165
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a seismic cable is described. The apparatus includes a plurality of cable segments comprising at least a first cable segment and a second cable segment coupled by a connector. The connector comprises a cylindrical body having a first diameter, a portion of the body having a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter and centrally positioned between opposing ends of the body, a first coupling section having a terminating end of the first cable segment anchored therein, and a second coupling section having a terminating end of the second cable segment anchored therein, at least a portion of the first and second coupling sections being rotatably coupled to respective ends of the body, wherein the connector isolates the first cable segment from the second cable segment. A method of deployment and retrieval of the seismic cable is also described.
