  • Publication number: 20220046325
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for creating a co-watching experience among audience members who are physically apart when watching the media asset. A media guidance application may monitor a sound of the first user. In response to the sound being detected during the monitoring, the media guidance application may determine whether the first user emitted the sound based on an occurrence in the video. In response to determining that the first user emitted the sound based on an occurrence in the video, the media guidance application may store the sound in connection with a timecode of the video corresponding to a time when the sound is detected. When the video is displayed to a second user, the sound of the first user may be played back based on the timecode of the video stored in connection with the sound.

  • Publication number: 20220014814
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for automatically indicating, during display of video of an event, actions in event that could satisfy side-game scoring scenarios. This may be accomplished by a media application that generates a live video of an event and retrieves data relating to a current status of a side-game in which a user is participating. The media application determines that a next play of the event could affect an outcome of the side-game and, in response, determines a particular action within the event that could affect the outcome of the side-game. The media application generates for display, within the video, an overlay on top of a playing space of the event, the overlay indicating where the particular action would need to occur to affect the outcome of the side-game.

  • Publication number: 20210393868
Abstract: A system or apparatus may include a container configured to collect fluid from a tissue site and regulate negative-pressure from a negative-pressure source. In some embodiments, the container may include a regulator that receives negative pressure directly from an unregulated negative-pressure source, such as a wall-suction outlet. The regulator may regulate down the pressure delivered to a collection chamber in the container, which may in turn be connected to a tissue site.

  • Publication number: 20210379324
Abstract: A tuneable expiration positive airway pressure (TEPAP) apparatus (10) comprises an entrainment valve (12) and a module (14), fluidly coupled with an outlet port (60) of the entrainment valve, for tuning an inspiration-to-expiration pressure transition of the breath cycle. The entrainment valve (12) includes a housing (56), an upstream inlet port (58), a downstream outlet port (60), and a valve (62). The valve (62) enables inspiration airflow between an exterior the housing (56) and the inlet port (58) during inspiration and prevents expiration airflow between the inlet port (58) and the exterior of the housing (56) during expiration. The tuning module (14) facilitates at least one rate-of-change in pressure of the inspiration-to-expiration pressure transition that is non-instantaneous. The at least one non-instantaneous rate of change in pressure is selected from among different non-instantaneous rates-of-change in pressure of the inspiration-to-expiration pressure transition.

  • Publication number: 20210379273
Abstract: An evaporative bridge dressing that may be used with negative-pressure treatment of tissue. The evaporative bridge dressing may have one or more fluid transfer layers comprised of high-density wicking material enclosed between layers of film having high moisture-vapor transfer rates to manage liquid storage and pressure drop. The evaporative bridge may have an absorbent in some embodiments. An evaporation channel may be disposed adjacent to or combined with the evaporative bridge. A means for measuring pressure across the evaporative bridge may include a feedback path. A support means may reduce or prevent collapse of one or more of the evaporative bridge, the evaporation channel, the feedback path.

  • Publication number: 20210330508
Abstract: Systems, methods, and dressing are presented for treating a tunnel wound on a patient. In one instance, a reduced-pressure, tunnel-wound dressing includes a longitudinal core member formed from a closed-cell foam that is surrounded by a first longitudinal concentric member formed from a manifolding material. When subjected to reduced pressure, the longitudinal core member expands and the first longitudinal concentric member compresses. These actions create intimate contact between the tunnel wound and the dressing, oppose collapse of the tunnel, and when reduced pressure is removed provide clearance to remove the dressing. Other embodiments are presented.

  • Publication number: 20210322300
Abstract: An implantable device contains a drug or biosensing compound, protected from the external environment within a human body by several barriers which are broken upon activation of the device through electrothermal, chemical, and mechanical processes. The device allows accurate and repeated dosing within a human body, thus reducing the number of implantation procedures required. This device extends the lifetime of a biosensor, reducing the number of implantation procedures required.
