Abstract: A combination chimney top spark arrester and damper is provided wherein the damper is positioned within the spark arrester. The damper moves between a closed position in which it covers the top of the chimney flue and an open position in which it is raised above the top of the chimney to allow full, unobstructed flow of flue gases. An actuator includes a counterweight urging the damper into its open position. The actuator allows the user to close the damper and to apply a tensioning force to the closed damper to resist vibration and chattering. The device is quickly installed and fits several different chimney sizes.

Abstract: A thermal guard for pipes to protect personnel from hot or cold pipes in refineries, chemical plants and other places processing hot or cold fluids. The guard is made from metal and contains no insulation so that the pipes are readily visible for observing leaks and can be readily repaired. The guard is fabricated from a few easily fabricated and assembled parts which can be attached to pipes of various sizes.

Abstract: An adjustable spark arrester for a chimney flue is provided wherein the arrester hood is held by adjustable means permitting the arrester to be installed without the use of tools.
